Lost to Life
Calvin Baraka May 2016
Cast out,but a lonely figure,
Devoid of any a desire,
The wind, she, envious of
The mind cuffed up. off,
Dreams and thoughts,to live.

At parallel worlds,Disillusioned
Every day, a double edged sword
Up to the hilt with the common unknown
The towel thrown
A white flag,
darker than death,
raised.

The last kiss with life,The mistletoe, her
Relations left to ponder
Grind teeth in wonder,
This time,
Too late for life
Hers... she took.

Blame Me Not
Calvin Baraka May 2016
I would talk of desires..
Longings.. choices I make
Look and wonder, is it.. really
Troubling of even, diminutive worth?
Mind, so enthusiastic, and,
Heart so bland and blunt towards.
The line drawn,
Head scratched to chronic hair loss,
Body grows lean,
Life loses its touch, and
Death surely, its sting.
A long standing camaraderie, dies.

Convivial, no longer.
But, cast a blame, on me not,
Or so, spare me, that look of judge.
I once was, slowly, becoming not,
Still a man of his words,
Blame me not, if your understanding fails you.
