Short Sharp Shock
Caitlin Sheptock Oct 2012
I’m a roaming soul; don’t know where I’m going to go
Don’t want to give my heart to the city, don’t want to give you what it is I’ve got.
Because it’s the world sitting atop my shoulders
But I don’t want to give you what it is I got because this pain is all I’ve got
All I’ve got left over when the world ends
All I’ve got when the worlds hung me out to dry
Floating high out here in outer space,
Here where no one moves but the galaxies speeding infinitely away from me.

The Voices
Caitlin Sheptock Oct 2012
You know that ringing sound that you will perceive when you are in a very quiet area? Some people say this is an auditory-illusion brought about the ear’s inability to detect frequencies below the threshold of the human senses. This is completely wrong. That ringing covers up something else altogether. If you are quick, patient, and maybe a little lucky, you will be able to hear past the ringing. What you will hear are voices whispering to each other. They will silence themselves quickly but with practice, you will become more adept at catching and interpreting what they are saying. You will hear things of the past, the present, and the future. However, you must be careful. Because there is no such thing as a voice without a body.

And when you start noticing them, they will start noticing you.

I didn't ask for this
Caitlin Sheptock Oct 2012
I didn’t ask you to love me
This was your choice to stay.
I just asked you to be there,
With me, for me,
Want to be alone with me not without me.
Being alone was horrible
But being alone with you is even worse
I’d never felt more invisible to someone.
Feel the questioning of an old friend staring at my face
But never understanding if they were seeing me inside there.

I carved a hole in my chest to let you bleed out of it,
I never asked you to love me.
But I was hoping you’d stick around long enough to care back.
But your silent flee was louder than any of the door slams from our fights.
You’re not the man for me I’m not the woman for you.
That doesn’t stop me from oozing raspberry pain
Out of the little pink cuts you left on the shards of my already shattered heart.
It was a broken heart before you,
So when I let you in I warned you, you could get hurt.
I thought this would hurt less to pull you out
To tear you out from something that had been previously destroyed.

The one who got away
Caitlin Sheptock Oct 2012
You will always be the one that got away
You’re so similar to me, it’s just,
We.
I need everything I can get from you forever.
I cared for you as a creature,
Before I cared for you as a lover.
We have the same heart,
We have the same soul.
We know the same agony,
We know the same flesh.
For so long your artistry pushed down by
A Wretched harlot smoothing your expression yet
You were her willing prisoner
For so long I’ve waited for your call.
To once again call your name out loudly, ecstatically.
You say my name in your low rasp, resonance
Deeply quakes from your chords to my strings
Once more I am your puppet.

Hindsight
Caitlin Sheptock Oct 2012
I flashback thru my memories from long times past,
Wonder how you could take what we had and toss it out like trash.
Waited my whole life for a lover/friend/partner like you,
I wish you could be mine with all I’ve got inside me.
But with that other girl in all your photographs,
She doesn’t look like it’s a temporary thing
So I guess I’ll have to wait till this life ends
And hope the little I’ve got can last until then.

The pictures mean nothing; she doesn’t know what I know
She doesn’t know what I do for you.
You’re perfect and perfect for me too because I’m perfect for you.
Wait here forever for one more chance
To prove my love is worth it, that it’s pure
That it lasts and does not become thin or faded.
Your name pops up on my phone:
“It’s me, stop calling just leave me alone”
I guess that means you’re happy now
Hadn’t picked me out of the crowd.
But how could you not?
I’ve given you every single little piece of me I’ve got
“It’s over now, don’t try to get it back”
You don’t have to say it; I can read it on your face.

Vampyer’s memory

Vampyer’s memory

I am most alive on nights like this
Under a full moon I slither and whine
Creep up you in the shadows
I will sink my teeth into your Luna lit skin
Scarlet, cream and pitch darkness mingle and melt
Our bodies’ look like frozen blood under the starless canopy
Slip into the darkest parts of me
While I carve my name in your back
Drink till you thirst no more
And I will bring the us into darkness
Bathed in pale light
We kiss one last time
With nightshade lips

True Lies
Caitlin Sheptock Jun 2012
You’re beautiful
I slept with your best friend
I can’t stop thinking about you
No one knows you exist
Will you meet my parents?
My friends are oblivious
Be with me always
I cheat on you mercilessly
Marry me
I’m an adulterer

Louve
Caitlin Sheptock Jun 2012
She Wolf (Louve)

She can walk through walls and tear down buildings with just the look in her eyes
I long for her power, her prowess and her slinky stroll.
Pull her prey in and sink her claws deep into the flesh on his back,
Gnash my teeth I can imagine the way the hot blood tastes on his skin.
Dangerous alone, deadly in packs, they take over a room in a single glance.
Teeth white lips red and tongue sharp she makes her move on a new victim,
Glides up beside me and I am drawn close to her scent.
Sensing my bloodlust she takes my hand in hers and leads me to the floor.
Electrically charged and warm her skin feels like it would melt into mine,
She twirls me around and presses me to her, empowered I grab onto her arms.
Flocked to us like sheep, drawn to her energy, she releases me to another’s arms.
Drunk on her I feel like someone else flows through my veins and follow her lead.
Moving with him into his bones I have total control and feel power and lust well,
He is drawn and succumbs to my will I drag my fingers down his throat slowly,
She and I have become one, moving force of lust and strength.
We are all things rough, silken, ******, raw and deeply powerful.
My master has taught me well it is apparent now I have made the change.
I am the louve.

Riot

Riot

I bet I could make this drive with my eyes shut,
Heading toward home spaced out and dead eyed.
My lip slide in between my lips when I get nervous
Its when I think of you again.

I want to run into traffic with you,
Because we are invincible our life is untouchable.
You make a riot erupt in my heart when you're near.
Drums kick deep into the caverns of my heart again.

This fresh tattoo couldn't hurt near as much as your leaving.
Abandoned again, you told me again and again
"I could never be the one that you want"
quoting your precious friend Jimmy in his edible World.

I will always think of you when I am in Port or am Blue.
Driving to see you, to be surrounded by your music will never be a burden. I would do anything for one last kiss for one last dance, but I know that you don't have room for me in your Futures.
