Caia Jan 2011
When I'm with you
The sky turns itself on
And though it's always raining
And the green is omnipresent
When I see your skewed glasses
The clouds are a little brighter
Caia Jan 2011
Do not weep over my grave
Do not waste your tears and lilies
Do not clutch at the hand of your almost lover

Do not read a eulogy
Do not pretend to have liked me
Anymore than you were forced to love me

Do not have a party
Do not celebrate my life
Do not force my memory

All I ask is take my ashes
Away and to the sea
And bury me below the waves

Do not waste your life to miss me
Caia Jan 2011
The walls of
wire
The stronghold of
arrows
The violet streaked
eyelids
Her cheek on your
shoulder
I see your
defenses
I long to
dismantle
Caia Jan 2011
Frosty steel on hot flesh
The dry hospital stench
A needle point with baited breath
The Instant
The high
Caia Jan 2011
If I had to sink or swim
To save your life or mine
We'd be each other's anchors
And stay alive for days

Across the breaking ocean
Beneath the crashing seas
I'll kiss you as we float along
The seeping crystal waves

And when we say goodnight
The salty final time
We'll drift as silver specters
Asleep and always dreaming
