We are trees,
growing close together,
branches touching,
reaching for the stars.

We are trees,
planted in the ground,
spreading our roots,
happy with 'here'.

We are trees,
swaying to nature's rythm,
a part of the Earth,
paralyzed by the thrumming of her heart.

We are trees,
we are plants,
we are birds,
we are stars,
we are humans,
holding hands,
hugging profusely,
and full to the brim with kissing.

We are humans,
with awkward silence,
with embarassing moments,
with silly jokes.

We are humans,
writing,
reading,
and writing some more.

We are humans,
we are us,
and it is fantabulous.

I wish my words were real.
Make my sounds into statues; make them into buildings.
Make my mumbles into laws; make them into countries.
I could help; I could hurt. My intentions are of the best; that is why you asked me.
I stand before crowds of emptiness hoping I can bring them trust:
trust in their lives; trust in their surroundings; trust in themselves.
We are all beating hearts; we can all beat hearts.
So, take my hand; take my advice.
All anyone needs is a kind word;
all everyone needs is a smile.
Let them trust in you.

Quickly, close your eyes
because the view is terrible
and I don't want to risk your knowledge.
Hurry and shut your mind
because everything I say is innacurrate
and I can't help but make you happy.
Be quick now and look at me,
I'm here in this moment, front and center,
and act as though we've lived through it all.
But hurry now and listen to me
as I display my heart into words,
mouth them along with me now
because we both know we find comfort in voices.
I never thought I would be able to comprehend poetry
as I do now,
now that I understand emotion,
And as I understand, I find I am far less naive,
and I love you.
