A friend of mine walked up to me and asked me: "What is a good woman?"
I replied "you would know if you were a good man"
He said "Stop joking I really wanna know"
"There is no definite answer, but when you meet one, it will show"
There are many characteristics  that make a good woman, but it would take days to speak them all
Since my friend brought this to mind, I thought I would list a few for y'all
A woman who is proud of what she brings
and won't complain over petty things
A woman who is well spoken and not opposed to listening
because communication is key from the beginning
A woman who is wise and able to realize
the pit you are in doesn't matter because she will help your rise
A woman who wouldn't try to control her man but also wouldn't be a doormat
And when trouble comes up, her feet won't be flat (she's ready to go)
A woman who never stops believing in the man that you are and the man you can become
So much confidence in you, it almost makes her seem dumb
A virtuous woman who prays for you more than she prays for herself
Remembering God is number one above all else
A woman who tries to pay for herself before you can offer
Knowing the difference between selfless and selfish is something you should prefer
A woman with the power of forgiveness
But don't abuse it
Because a good woman is not stupid
She will lose it
You will lose her and have no one to blame when your heart takes the hit
If you hurt a good woman, in my eyes, you aren't worth the saliva I spit
The ice cream no one would lick
The one that gets thrown down in hope ants would leave a picnic
To pick apart your existence
Use your common sense
Realize what's in front of you and cherish it
Woman is the title a female receives at a certain age
But it takes a good man to realize a good woman is on the next page
I'm not saying a good woman needs to have this quote for quote
I don't think any woman does, if so, let me know
I haven't met any besides my family, but I don't go down that road
I'm being patient, waiting for my good woman is giving me time to grow
So I can give her the best Brandon Everett Davis, the world doesn't know
To not be on their level, would be a sin
Let's become better men for these good women

Ain't nothing going right
It's getting harder and harder to sleep at night
I don't know how, when I'm so tired
I'm tired of the confrontations
Trying to live up to everyone's expectations
I'm tired
I wanna take a break
I wanna get away
Don't think I'm whining about what's going on
I'm only getting this out the way so I can move on
There is no point in talking about it
Complaining about it
BE ABOUT IT
SHOW YOUR STUFF
Concerning yourself with thoughts of the past
Your heart, body, and mind won't last
Think of the present and the future
Prepare for bad times to endure
I'm not here to tell you how to live your life
Because I know it's not always easy to do what's right
I know you're tired but it's time to get up
If you continue to lay there your life is going to continue to ****
In your heart you know what to do
I'm tired of being tired
How about you?

Motivation is the driving force by which humans achieve their goals
Everyone get out your paper and pencils because its time to take some notes
Motivation is a word that is not used often enough
We constantly procrastinate and use a fail as a bluff
If you can't trust yourself to keep pulling through
Think of the others who love and depend on you
They are there for you and you can be there for them
And when you are in need, they will help again and again
Some pretend they don't need motivation in sight
Constantly saying things like "I'm a man, imma be alright"
We need to motivate
To cooperate
So we can recreate
The ideal world we have always imagined
Then our improved way of life can begin
To keep moving forward you don't have to be smart
I am living proof, motivation doesn't come from your head it comes from your heart
That doesn't mean discard everything you know
Use it to fuel your motivation and drive you up that steep *****
Think of the past; the good not the bad
You're here now and you made it through the BS you had
At the time you felt so hurt
But its the motivation that lets you know, it could've been worse
So to finish this up I need everyone to shout
Motivation, Determination, Dedication are a few things we can't live without
My current situation is going to improve and with that in mind, I have no doubt

Whoever you are and whatever color you may be
Let your color shine so all can see
That doesn't mean become your "brother"
But to become another (color)
That can still change its tone in the summer
Am I only the color you see
Will that remain the same until I speak??
That is something that may never change
But don't get angry because we are not to blame
Color doesn't make us who we are
We all....excuse me
MOST of us know that
Don't worry about the people who don't know
They will learn through the actions we show
So I won't sag, throw gang signs
Shoot sideways like one eye is blind
I'm not trying to be better, worse, or stand out from what I am
BUT I WILL CLIMB
not be above every other
but to not spend the rest of my life being a color
