upon meeting the devil,
i believed too much,
now the shifter of shapes
will always be in touch

with swollen eyes,
and an opened jaw,
dropped in the acid,
and flexed its claw.

combined with the stream,
its a filthy escape,
mind trapped inside,
frozen beneath the nape.

and out climbed the demons,
of unfiltered thoughts,
corrupting organized chaos,
tying toes in knots.

in a spell of lies,
came the truth of it all.
too far to turn back,
so up you fall.

fly with the snow,
through textures of vision.
enjoy it now,
you made your decision.

on second encounters,
you may ask for more,
offer your soul,
to reveal the next door.

the gift of endless thought,
given to the grateful,
rotten crop of jealousy,
consumed by the hateful.

embrace the desire,
to further explore.
loosen your grip,
let go of the floor.

name of the day is forgotten,
no longer will you seek the time,
when you find your happytree,
to the top you will climb.

on the highest branch,
you may want to have fun,
but as night turns to day,
the nightmare has begun.

clouds need not move,
with a thought of worry.
control slips away,
memory gets blurry.

dragged out with force,
forgot to check in.
the rules have changed,
now all thought is sin.

a day with the devil,
i thought was free,
my name signed on a line,
his new bride to be.
