After The Wake
Blood 'N' Shadow Feb 2021
Is it too late to say I’m not okay?
Six months of your passing
Six month after the wake
And I still remember that day
All of the words I could’ve said
I swallowed them up instead
I thought being strong was the way
How sorry I am for being so wrong
Because I don’t care anymore, anyway
If this is the end and I’m gone
I know I’ll never see you again
The chance that I had is no more
With all of the hatred I’ve in store
A fragile life whispered away
Is it too late to say I’m not okay?
Is it too late to say I’m not doing okay?
Wake up and tell me this a dream
Rise up and tell me this isn’t happening
Is it too late to say I’m not okay?
Is it too late? Is it too late?
Tell me I’ve dreamt of your wake.
For my child

Sackcloth and Ashes
Blood 'N' Shadow Feb 2021
Eternity lasts continuously
Caught inside these walls
For those giving it willingly
For those just taking the fall.

Polar gaps in distances
Find a center in the way
At one particular instance
Balance’s leverage tilts astray.

When you sleep and go nowhere
You know that you’re in deep ****
Well, life goes round in spheres
And death just finds a center in it.

It’s just Gravity taking command.

Lighting sideways fireworks
Midway through the song
A presentation made spectacular
For those triggering their guns.

A mass with a lot of shouting
A few stains sink on the floor
Couple of jerks went interrupting
Like the way it’s been done before.

When you sleep and go nowhere
You know that you’re in deep ****
Well, life goes round in spheres
And death just finds a center in it.

It’s just Gravity taking command.

It’s just Gravity
Such Gravity
Do you understand…?
The Gravity?

When they went out to see him
Some left the show in trance
What’s the price of an afterimage?
His trade of hands made in France.

Vintage celebrity appearance
Burns bright down on the crowd
Why would any need reassurance?
An immolation of sorts to make HIM proud.

When you sleep and go nowhere
You know that you’re in deep ****
Well, life goes round in spheres
And death just finds a center in it.

Death finds a center in it
Eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth
The between lines written in bold
Give death for life and life for death.

Fly in the Soup
Blood 'N' Shadow Feb 2021
Your solar smile
Digitized
Like binary numbers
Repeating themselves
Three times over
Three times over
Over the dark kings thorn crown
Saliva, scent and ***.

Check mate over this black and white floor
Measure me with a scale
Flashing in and out, inducted seizure
Barring symbols in their Halloween masks
It won’t end until the fat lady sings
Cheese and crackers as they enjoy
Fizzy and scarlet tinted drinks served in wine glasses.

Wan and red and then to black
You want to savor it with rhythm like the good old times
As our forefathers rejuvenate
With the spell they’ve casted, hidden under the script
Spooky as mythos of vampires and zombies
And otherworldly quintessential organisms
We’ve become remote controlled machines
With nothing but silicon and rubber as our skin
Blind in one eye, but not to be afflicted
Fatally wounded but not really dead.
The first episode in 'The Velvet Empress' "saga". Inspired of actual events.

The stinking smell of melting rock
Rotting on your lips, between your teeth
The one diet that can get you hooked
Undo your tin foil hat for present treat.

A volcano’s mouth is belching near
Sulfur permeating from the inside out
A newbie sponsor with clogged ears
Swallowing guilt in his cloud of doubts.

Heavy weight pulling down the bottom
“The floor is lava” from brown to black
******* cement shoes, you stand in glue
And the rubber ball won’t bounce back.

The stinging needle of glass wasps
Sliding beneath your skin, into your veins
The one journey unable to fully grasp
Until your legs are brimmed with gangrene.

A busted light bulb at tip’s touch
Mosquito bites all across the appendages
A trace of wine from under the nose
Vacuuming doves that’s been pulverized.

Bronze shackles keeping you held still
The light at the end of a tunnel; the train
The one thing shining, the lighter, kills
For you’ve danced to make gasoline rain.

Trying to reach the highest of highs
You’ve fallen into the deepest of depths
The wave of “hi” is now “good-bye”
An act of faith you should’ve never leaped.
