Emma Summers Jul 2015
She was the water,
Her eyes like tidal waves,
Laugh a soft sea breeze,
I saw her as the ocean
And I was desperate to drown.
So drown I did.

I want to scream in their faces,
In a heartbeat she'd trade places
With those who act like they get it,
But don't know her heart's a black pit,
Looks filled with pity and good graces,

Prescribed pills her thoughts replaces,
No feeling in friends' embraces,
Thin white scars from her wrists split,
I want to scream,

Pale powder makeup erases
Tear tracks, red eyes; leaves no traces,
****** lip from where her teeth bit,
Habit to calm nerves, she's unfit
To see their pity means ****,
I want to scream
