Window into my life.
Bhargavi Jul 2013
The words in my heart
Spread across blank sheets
Written as a poem.
Look at the sheets
Blank and white
Look into my eyes
A window into my world
Tell me what you see.
Write my story like your own
Write it like you see it.
A peek through the window
Is the glass clean or tainted?
Is for you to decide
As YOU peer through it.

Then I ll tell you
If you understand me.

The moon and I.
Bhargavi Jul 2013
I look at myself in the open pond
I see the moon too
It appears so close
I try to take it as if its mine.
Forming ripples in the water.

I turn around and see the distance,
Too far for me to even measure.
I know the distance,
I feel it in my gut.

I lay down on the grass,
Look into the sky,
I want to stay here forever.
But I need to get back to reality
A dreamer has to be a realist too.
I need to move on.
I need to go on.
I need to move forward.

A walk on the beach
Bhargavi Jul 2013
I walk on the beach
With the sand at my feet
The cool breeze in my hair
And the hot setting sun in the sky.
I see people around me
Going on with their lives
In their own world
Not even stopping to look around
The beauty that lies around them
The setting sun
The pattern in the clouds
The chirping of birds
The colour of flowers and butterflies on them
The beauty that takes your breath away
The sheer joy of life.

Nostalgia, Time.
Bhargavi Jul 2013
As i sit on a lonely bench
I look back into the sands of time

I see people
Situations, moments, memories
The people who bring out the worst in us
And the ones who bring out the best

I see laughter
I see sadness
I see the dawn and the setting sun

Its not everyday you wake up
And find the world a different place.

Time is not as we perceive
Its not always as it seems
It relative, but does it really exist?

Past Present Future
Three different phases of time
Or all the blend of the same
That i guess
Is for me to wonder
And for you to figure out.

Letter from the future me
Bhargavi Jul 2013
Lost in the sands of time
I see, myself reading and rereading
The silly notes, the feeling poured out
On the leaves of the book
I still hold dear
I still feel the pain
The loneliness
The rejection
The silliness that is attached to
The feeling of a youthful heart
The heart that skipped
The stomach that flipped
Stays steady with the warmth of your touch
Thanking the Supreme for the turn of events
Thanking the pain for the fruits I enjoy today
For the person I am now
For the life I have lived, shared and loved.
