painted
Bethany Terry Dec 2016
The scars and bruises that paint my body
Have made me a masterpiece
And I accept every inch
Of my monstrous canvas
Because the scars and bruises
Are what make me a work of art

Without the scars and bruises
I would be a blank canvas
I would not be a masterpiece
I would not be a work of art
I would not be human

black hole heart
Bethany Terry Dec 2016
I saw galaxies within his soul
I saw stars in his eyes
The way they glistened with curiosity
I saw planets within his mind
His orbiting thoughts left me hypnotized
But a black hole consumed his heart
Not even light could escape his turmoil
His twisted ways pulled me in
I was unable to flee his gravity
And the only soul I loved
The only soul that kept me sane
Was the very soul
that was destroying me

the healer
Bethany Terry Dec 2016
You gave me your sick version of love
You cured a disease
You devised yourself
And made me believe
You were healing me

It ****** me over
Because now
Just like you
I plant diseases
Deep within lovers
To make them believe
I am healing them

But the diseases planted
Are not curable
Instead
passed from one lover to another

My love
Is forever diseased
My lovers
Are forever infected

stolen
Bethany Terry Oct 2016
You kept my soul
Hidden deep within your body
I searched and searched
You stole what wasn't yours

You told me you lost it
Somewhere within yourself
Among all the other souls
You decided to keep

You took the souls
Because yours was long gone
From a girl who stole yours

So soul by soul
She sent you stealing
To fill the emptiness
She left you with

Now I'm just like you
Hunting and taking what's not mine
To replace what you stole

blood
Bethany Terry Oct 2016
Day by day
Week by week
I can feel my blood
Starting to shriek

And

Week by week
Day by day
My blood
Scared him away

F*ck you
Bethany Terry Oct 2016
He had that smile
That just screamed madness
The kind that made you
Reconsider all morals
He knew he had the girls
Wrapped around his finger
But when he gave you that smile
All you could do was linger
