The unwanted man walks a dark path,
The stars scream hope, but the darkness screams nothing.
The rocky road scuffs his sneakers, but not his heart.
His legs feel fatigue, but his heart feels weightless.
As long as stars hang in the sky, darkness cannot be alone,
And nor shall he, as he awaits for his star to fall.
The star that will illuminate his life, his universe.
His star lies deep within the abyss,
That's what makes it special in his heart and mind.

I sit here in the dark,
Thinking of you.
Your soft brown hair,
Your soft, dark eyes,
Those eyes still make me smile.
Those eyes make me want to love you more.
Yet you have moved on,
to a new one.
I weep at the thought,
But I know as your love fades,
Mine still grows for I love you.
Even though I lost your love,
Mine for you still grows.

As we lay on my twin-size bed,
I wondered how I was so lucky.
I pondered your beauty at night,
And marveled your person at day.
Your face illuminated my heart,
But at bay, I knew something had gone wrong.
Your smiles began to change,
And you started to refrain.
We had a romance, but we had lost touch.
My last memory of you
Is looking deep into your eyes.
As we lay, all alone, across my twin-size bed.
