Dear shoes,
I'm sorry for all that I've put you through.
You've held up very well, for a basketball shoe.
I wear you all day, while you're meant for indoors.
You are very helpful when going for boards.
I want to apologize for all the marks on you.
You were such a pretty pair of white shoes.
You still look nice, and work like new.
But pretty soon I'll have to start using glue.
You have held on through the good and the bad.
Ant I know that the wear-and-tear has made you sad.
One day your time will come.
You will begin to fall apart, like little crumbs.
But for now, I want to apologize.
I'm really, truly, sorry guys.

Every day is a work of art
And we are the painters
We choose what the paintings will be
Be it happy or sad
Light or dark
Beautiful or horrible
It is our choice
The painting can be whatever we choose
And with every new day we can change it

After the winter
The yellow grass is thawing
Giving way to green

Juicy, plump, and sweet
Strawberries are good to eat
A glass of water on a hot summer day
You make a person's problems go away
In the garden I go out to pick
The thought of strawberries, my lips I lick
I walk to the plant and pick one up
So juicy I could drink it from a cup
I popped it in my mouth, chewing slowly
An explosion in my mouth, the flavor was holy
When hard times bring me down
The sweet strawberries destroy my frown
The happiness that they bring me
Makes me feel elated and free
