Nothing Below
Austin Dusseau Jan 2017
Inside of my soul
                a pin *****
and all that I love
                on the top
lest I grip myself
               -lost gold

Then my muscles tire
                ...the burning

rain comes down to quell!
and restore.

Again!
A hole above wealth fire fills

Retell...

I forgot there was nowhere to
                                                            fall.

Carpenter's World
Austin Dusseau Jan 2017
Plodding through
with paws on soil
familiar grove
so shapeless, royal

with searching smell
past noise of flowers
for something food
to be devoured

but what is this-
a silver net-
that halts the quest
without intent?

will trace the wall
until it's found.
a pre-made hole
dug in the ground

the perfect size
for silver fox
to crawl inside
be shook by rocks

a great expanse
of flattened stone
revealed by God
who calls this home.

And how absurd..
there's so much space,
strange trees of light,
and stench of waste

this is no place
for silver fox
crawl back outside.
forget the rocks.

Second
Austin Dusseau Jan 2017
The ground climbs up into a tree
contained inside of every leaf.

As until the day you’re dead,
your spine will strive to lift your head.

Your every thought and every dream
sings the day in memories

and all the songs we’ve ever wrote,
swim beneath our every note.

A single crest born of a wave
rises out the ocean’s nave

and every second, with your breath,
the earth -it spins- on heaven’s chest.
Any suggestions? I'm Struggling a bit with the 2nd stanza
