Monsters
Aurora Holloway Dec 2013
Have you ever felt your bones inside of your body?
A weird kind of reality.
A harsh kind of reality.
But concrete and stable and beautiful.

Have you ever felt the monsters inside of your body?
A dangerous kind of reality.
They will claw their way through your skin,
When you think you are safe.
Your bones cannot protect all of you.

I don't like this
Aurora Holloway Dec 2013
I lament the joy that existed at some point
within the spaces of my dendrites.
Billions of masterfully crafted events of electrical,
activity excite the very molecules of petite skin.

Your enticing, ridiculous electrical impulses,
the stupid, idiotic order of synaptic gap activity.
Gold, Ruby, Diamond, Emerald Treasure to my discovery
I mourn for the infinite galaxies swirling, and swirling in you.

Wake up, Dread.

The more I come to understand how things really work,
The more I am pitied for pessimistic plasticity.
I pity you.

Fall asleep, Dread.

A Distraction
Aurora Holloway Dec 2013
Something vague to keep my mind away
Some solace so that I may sleep please.
Anything except what I am faced with
On my own.

One distraction please,
A reoccurring theme in these troubled days,
A hobby with hope for the health
Of my ill mind.

A single event that I may call my own
May as well just be my savior,
Better help than you will ever be to me.
Please just some piece of mind.
