One Of Those Days
amy maria Mar 2018
Today has been
One of those days
One where I cannot get out of bed
Whilst thoughts of you race through my head
And all those things that you once said
Cloud my brain
Like fog
On a dull winters day

Today has been
One of those days
One where my head lies against my pillow
Whilst my eyes dream out the window
And forget about the times of sorrow
When I
Was with you
And you with me

Today has been
One of those days
When thoughts of you come to mind
Times where you weren't quite so kind
But I was in love and therefore blind
But I
Should have
Seen the signs

Today has been
One of those days
Where my anger to you begins to build
How you didn't love me from the start
And you always intended to break my heart
And you meant to kiss them behind my back
And you didn't ever love me "like that"
And you never loved me how I loved you
And you didn't ever know how to be true
And you ran to her when you ran from me
And you loved her instead how could I not see?
And -

Today has been
One of those days
I stop and listen to the rain
And as you come to mind again
I think...

How glad I am to be rid of you
The new incarnation of me
The old incarnation of you
Are worlds apart
As you have not changed

Continue to break girls hearts
Like you did mine
Because
Whilst I am fine,
You will always be the same
And I?
Well, you'll see me
In my new-found fame

Today has been
One of those days
And I am all the stronger for it.
