Another September
Atrayee Sep 2013
I've been trying to pen down a few words
I don't know where to begin
There's a lot going on within me
Maybe its love. Again.

Love had its share of bittersweet tricks
Maybe now its my time to gleam
A thunder of questions in my head
And I don't care about any

It the magic of your smile
September love pecks on my cheek
Or is it that time of the year when
Silly Cupid goes mocking at me

Oh could it be true?
Once for real.
Could it last more than
Another September.
I know what A September's love is like. I know what unrequited love is like.

Only if.. You knew
Atrayee Nov 2012
Only if you knew…
How it bleeds inside
The baby born of blood and flesh
Just a hideous beast ruined by time.
Single dame- thousand names
Only if you knew,
How the ice burns my throat
How the wills and wants went cold…

Only if I knew,
What the skies hold for me
I didn’t touch the blade,
But the stains don’t fade away..
Why the contrition of yesterday
Still ****** my soul’s edges
Why the sweet reminiscences,
Still a gloomy haze?
Why the memoirs of divinity
Have turned in immoral disgrace?
Why the reaper can’t sing in its solace?
Thee heart keep running but lost in its pace
Why each passing moment moans for the albatross?

Only if we knew…
The curiosities of life
And anxieties open and wide
Don’t stop the eyes
Now open and searching life
Taking my chances,
Hiding my grievances
I risk the curve
Once was jilted and deserted from love
I bask in the glow, soak in the sun
Step out of the low
The Satan takes no pity
Leaves the beast with an impaired heart
Now the eyes are shut, the dark creeps in
The clouds come and lo! they win
The stars now astray in a veiled sky
Feeble and faint
Again leave the beast forsaken
But animal instincts they call it
It strives again..
Only if you knew…

The Shadow
Atrayee Nov 2012
In boundless cold with a fire in heart
Sits a shadow of love and pain
Some frozen tears, melted strength and dozen false smiles is her only gain.
A warrior of time, she lost her battle.
Alas! she is trapped in the realm of whims and constraints
Though human she still is, vulnerable and foolish
But her soul still pious, tormented yet unbroken
Waits night and day…
Not for her knight in shining armour
For long she has grown above nanny’s tales
But for a breeze of joy and relief that will sweep her over into the arms of Father
Long had she suffered for this day to arrive
But it ends here, where it matters the most
She has set on the voyage to explore the share of earthly divinity
For beneath the stars, through the mist will come her ray of sunshine that will cure the greyness of her smiles
And let her shadow escape into out of the dark
For now she will cherish the fragrance of her dwindling days
With those rosy mornings will she rise and take her leap,
