some people never really left us.

there will always be a remaining part of them tattooed in the cathedrals of our hearts, wounds that were never healed but only hidden in the dark corners of our restless minds,  unsaid words and broken promises made to weaken our strongest bones.

and when they finally decided to leave, they wouldn't even bother to reach for our hands just to hold it one last time. their feet were carefully trained to walk away.

but no matter how many times their eyes tried to search for a different face, they just couldn't find someone worthy of walking through flames for.

its hard to walk away from someone you thought you're going to cross the bridge with.

goodbyes are always the hardest to say when you don't want to let go but you need to.

when it's time to forget, where does the vital parts of your bleeding heart go?

i have never understood the importance of time and how comforting it is to simply live in the moment until we were on the verge of giving up and the only time we had left was to say goodbye.
