When I look into his eyes
I can’t help but see
My mimicking reflection staring back at me
I used to see that sparkle
That feint green shade
But now all that lies there is pain and betray

That reflection of mine speaks a million words
They remain unspoken
But to me, they are heard
To me, they mock
They scream
They hurt
Because that reflection of mine speaks a million words

Now that sparkle is seen
By one other than me
It is returned to that girl, by him it seems
I no longer see that sparkle
In those green colored eyes
All I see is pain
And the tears that I’ve cried.
