An Eye
Arshiya Noor May 2019
Our heart broke like those window panes shoved hard by the wind.
We fell down like those strong poles that couldn't fight the hard breeze.
Our souls got uprooted like those old Banyan trees that claim to protect its passerby
And it all started with an eye that wrecked the picture of our sight.

We saw chiliads of dreams twisted and tampered like a typhoon twiddling a timid hut.
We saw our grandma's best tree quelled by the gale like it nothing ever meant.
We now fear to walk on the road we walked all evenings, it's so dark and scary cause the lampposts lost the trial by combat with nature's might.
And it all started with an eye that wrecked the picture of our sight.

In a petty point we were left in the darkness like the numbness after a whirlwind.
Our own world challenged us for survival , hard to believe.
The empty sky after pouring it's rage asks, "Now show me how you thrive".
Our way was hindered like the failed poles hinder the roads after an evil night.
And it all started with an eye that wrecked the picture of our sight.

Did God made us to break like this?
No.
He's not so unfair to make us go through something we cannot.
He's testing us. Let's pass this test.
We're at the nadir of our lives.
Let's work again to reach the zenith of success.
Let's create a milestone.
We have blood of hardwork and hopes.
And It all started with an eye that wrecked the picture of our sight.
Now let's end it with the power of our eye and beautify the picture of our sight.

Land
Arshiya Noor May 2019
A night that changed the alignments of my stars.
A night that changed the meaning of my existence.
I realised why this universe had made me wait for this.
For this which was so 'ecstatic',
For this which was so 'unsullied'.

I stood on a land of roses
Sky of spring sun
And squall blowing my hair, it's fluanting
It heard someone saying it's the most beautiful thing on Earth.
That was my 'land'.
That was my 'to-be home'.

Bricks of promises
Cement of love
Colours of trust
And furnitures of a bit of lust.
People admired the house
But I loved the land.
It was there all 'lucent'.
It was there all 'proud'.

The spring brought a garden of Tulips
Yellow Daffodils
Purple crocuses
With yellow butterflies crowning them all.
It was the 'bliss'
It was the 'peace'.

In a blink July turned to August.
Skies got harsh on us
Rain washed away the Daffodils
And land got swampier.
My house trembled
Promises broke and love got washed away with rain while trust faded away and lust,
It was just a 'fancy'.
It was just a 'showpiece'.

I was oblivious to the fragility of my house
My brittle house couldn't even withstand the monsoon.
And here I was, befret of my house, my only house.
Weaker than never before, shattered and scattered.
Monsoon went on for long, quite long
Washing away all the cement of my love and hue of trust.
But I was there 'holding the land'.
But I was there 'witnessing the disband'.

Winter came
Froze everything
Nummed my mind
Cracked my skin
And did everything it could to make me leave my land
And I.. I gave in
I left.
But on my way I saw deluged land getting parched.
My land is here
And spring is near.
It was an 'indication'
It was a 'direction'.

Seasons weathered me down
But I planted the bricks again.
But this time it was just a batterd repugnant house.
No colours no furnitures
Just a house.
But it was there
But it was there.

Let Love Breathe
Arshiya Noor May 2019
I am in love, this feeling of love is beautiful.
I want to climb up the seventh sky and announce my love to the world.
But I might get judged.
They might call me the bad apple of the society.
Tell me, what's so wrong in doing typical things untypically.
I am a she and I love her.
I might be eccentric
But it's me, don't make me a topic of your gossip.
Let love breathe. Let me breathe.

This tux looks so good on me. My boyfriend had gifted me on our first anniversary.
We mismatch yet we match the best.
But we can't reveal our love, it's a sin people say.
Tell me, how can love be wrong anyway?
You claim to love her just for her ****** and *******, Oh! Your love so sacred but my love for a human and his heart is a mistake?
I am a man and I love my man.
I might be eccentric
But it's me, don't make me a topic of your gossip.
Let love breathe. Let me breathe.

When I say, "I've a big heart" I mean it.
When I say, "I can love anyone" I mean it.
I am attracted to human souls and not their genitals.
Why do you think it's absurd?
I won't suffer the scarcity after some thousand years.
I am not just lesbian or just gay or just afraid. I am soul who can love any soul. Male or female or both.
I might be eccentric
But it's me, don't make a topic of your gossip.
Let love breathe. Let me breathe.

They looked at me like I don't belong to this lot.
They judged me until the whole world called me a blot.
I am proud that I didn't confine myself with what I was born.
Nor did I lie to my originality, why am I still wrong?
Yes, I have *****
And I wear lipstick.
That doesn't seize my right of being a human or makes me heinous.
I chose what I wanted to be.
I am not a male or a female, I am a human being.
I might be eccentric.
But it's me, don't make me a topic of your gossip.
Let love breathe. Let me breathe.

I might be eccentric.
But it's me.
Don't make me a topic of your gossip.
Let love breathe. Let me breathe.
I have flesh, I have blood, I have skin, I have heart, just like you. I am fine for me yet queer for you.
You question me, you criticise me, you segregate me because I am peculiar.
Because you don't have what I have.
Because I am more humane than you.
Because I am blessed.
Because I am eccentric
And it is the real me, don't make me a topic of your gossip.
Let love breathe. Let me breathe.

A Girl Has Power
Arshiya Noor Apr 2019
Burn brighter than the fire around you
Take what is yours with fire and blood
Answer injustice with justice
You said he's a scurrilous?
Tell him, "The next time you raise a hand to me will be the last time you have hands."
Scream " Dracarys" and succumb the world of sinisters with your fire.
You're Daenerys Stormborn, the unburnt, the refuser of Patriarchy.
So ask the world to bend their knee.

One who touches your loved one
Destroy him for the sake of your wine.
Get as bad as you can if it's about people who are your life
This world is no more of sword or blood, it's of strategies and vengeance.
Know that everyone who isn't you, is an enemy.
Tell them you're Cersei Lannister, the epitome of strength and power.
And in this "game of respect" you win or you die. There's no middle ground.

Learn to fight alone.
Be as swift as a deer and quiet as a shadow.
Quick as a snake and clam as still water.
Be confident of your skills.
Mark every man's name who once even thought of hurting you.
Recite them every night.
You're Arya Stark and you're a savage.
Ask them to **** every Arya from this world if they want to **** because
"Leave one wolf alive and the sheep are never safe."
You've a long way to go
Today isn't the day you lose.

You shouldn't have teased this lil' princess
You made my skin turn to porcelain, to ivory, to steel
No one could have ever loved you the way I did.
I can even love and die for a monster.
But do not mistake my innocence as my weakness.
I am Sansa Stark and I am one the wolves and I can survive the coldest night better than you. You taught me how to.
I am a slow learner but I do learn.

Oh! I forgot to give the disclaimer.
Game of thrones fan would understand it better.
And if you're not a fan, that's not a matter.
It's all about throne, women and their power.
And this world is all about evils, women and their power.

— The End —
