Broken heels...
Aradhana Singh Dec 2017
In the dark grey clouds of sorrow,
In a sea of thunder storms and roar,
In the dry chilly winds hushing through the leaves,
She sat in a lonely corner with broken heels.

Yes, she had seen her vanquishment,
In this world so inconsiderate, no one cared for her wretchedness.
She had no vigour to stand again and reveal the secrets sealed,
She sat in a lonely corner with broken heels.

Probably, she was waiting for that golden ball,
Which could lead her to the Prince spell bound as a frog.
Her heart patiently waited for that feel,
She sat in a lonely corner with broken heels.

Every cloud has a silver lining,
Every storm has a day of winding,
He came in her world as a high wall on which her trust could lean,
Finally there was someone to redress the broken heels.

He stood tall and straight with a smile on his face,
Both glared at each other and their hearts start to race.
She knew it has to be him and his zeal,
One who was capable to mend her broken heels.

This time she knew she was in safe hands,
And they will together spread true love in different lands.
They had love that no one could steal,
'Cause her Prince was triumphant in mending her heels.

Now she could stand up straight,
She got the support of her soulmate.
Those who lost her, cried on their fate,
He made this bearing safe from all the hate.

Today, her face shines and twinkles in glee,
For she has no longer got a broken heel..!!

Silver Lining
Aradhana Singh Dec 2017
Amid the grey clouds of loneliness,
Shattering all the causes of sadness,
There came a light of happiness.
Filling my life in and out with brightness.

Every cloud has a silver lining,
But it all depends upon the timing.
It was there with me all through my decline,
But I couldn't recognize it at that time.

Where there is life, there is hope,
It totally depends upon how you cope.
Had I not been busy collecting the stones,
I would have known, who is my own.

The die has now been casted,
Every part of the life will be redrafted.
New seeds will be sown in the bed,
The past will be forgotten and dead.

The silver lining will protect me from the evil eyes,
We together will touch new highs.
All the sadness will be parted with goodbyes,
There will be a new morn' with clear skies.

Yes,

Amid the grey clouds of loneliness,
Shattering all the causes of sadness,
There came a light of happiness.
Filling my life in and out with brightness.

Your lifeline? A woman ?
Aradhana Singh Dec 2017
She rose from a lady, strong and healthy,
Little did she know for her family she was wealthy,
Being born in India, she was regarded as Goddess Laxmi.
Yes, she is a woman.

With her lips curved in smile, with a twinkle in her eyes,
Strong in herself, in strong bonds her family she tied,
And inherently waved all the darkness sweet goodbyes.
Yes, she is a woman.

She knew how to balance phases of life,
Daughter it is or whether it is wife,
Protected her knowns from wounds of knife,
Shielded from the worldly sins and strife.
Yes, she is a woman.

From the dawn of her education, to the epilogue of her big day,
She takes cares that it's the least that her family has to pay,
Amid responsibilities and desires, she is exuberant and gay.
Yes, she is a woman.

From planning the wherewithal of household to penny pinching her impulse,
Shielding from contingent darks and dulls,
She will always be there to pull you out of null.
Yes, she is a woman.

Yes, that woman who makes you strong,
Yea, that woman who protects you from all the wrong,
Yes, that woman who was there all along,
Yet her eminence is forgotten and long gone.

Pause,
Ponder on the cause,
Work to make up for the loss,
Yes, it's you who has to make a start,
Heel the damages, aim your dart,
Reward her for her art with all your heart.
