Tap Dance of the Heart
Anujaya Nov 2014
Those eyes that speak and smile,
That love that seems divine.
These thoughts circling mercilessly,
This endless wait for destiny.
Those little things that matter so much,
A careless whisper or an innocent touch.
This tap dance of the heart,
This trepidation hanging over the head.
This hope for wishes to come true,
This hope for miracles out of the blue.
This pain that doesn't flee,
This pain for things that may never be.
This floating cloud love sits in,
And sails across, oh! Heavenly sin!
These thoughts circling mercilessly,
This endless wait for destiny...

It's those days when you sit and ponder,
And you truly 'look' around you;
It's those days when you just wonder,
If purpose in life has found you.

It's those days when you glance yonder,
And see for once the swaying trees;
It's those days when you just wonder,
How mellifluous are the humming bees.

It's those days when you feel asunder,
And you think you've lost your way;
It's those days when you think it's a blunder,
But life smiles and tells you- "It's okay".

It's those days that make you complete,
For all else is a heady blur;
It's those days that truly are replete,
With silence and the occasional stir.

Sometimes a leap of faith is all it takes,
To sort life out from the originals and the fakes.
Sometimes a leap of faith is all it takes,
To heal scars from a million rakes.
Sometimes a leap of faith is all it takes,
To feel alive and fresh like when one wakes.
Sometimes a leap of faith is all it takes,
To cross an ocean as if they were little lakes...

Music in Fall
Anujaya Oct 2014
Golden leaves raining from the milky sky,
Autumn's coming...don't ask why.
Without the greys, the pinks look shy,
You won't count the smiles until you cry.

There's music in every Fall,
There's rhythm in every swaying tree- short or tall.
This grand design makes you feel so small,
But special at that- in Nature's Ball.

Silence is beautiful but heavy on the heart,
As if laughing with gay abandon were a lost art.
Thinking fuels you, pushes the cart,
Tells you it's okay...you've played your part.

But then joys, they come so fast,
And in flashes, you wish they'd last.
Don't look back in the crystal of the past,
The universe awaits- with dreams so vast...

Miracles in May
Anujaya May 2015
Counting days like leaves in fall,
Careless giggles and laughter galore
For how long? The truth is strong
The lurking despair that refuses to go
The summer Sun anticipates snow.

Sighs umpteen and endless wait
Why oh! Why? Why so late?
The trouble could’ve been saved,
There’s no knowing why and how these roads are paved.

Things could’ve been different, much easier
But where’s the fun in that- it isn’t quite clear,
Miracles in May and blossoming flowers,
Glimmering lights from harbours and tall towers.
So much to do and yet so little done,
It’ll be alright, it’s only just begun!

Time, be my friend...
Anujaya May 2015
Living the dream, that's what it's all about
Dancin', singin', speaking up without a doubt.
Close my eyes and see a new one everyday,
Skipping o'er thorns, waltzing through the stars in my way.
Time, oh! time, be my friend,
Take my hand- the fun'll never end.

Dilly dallyin' no more,
Run like the wind till our heels are sore.
Shine on like diamonds in the rough,
Let yourself go, strut your stuff.
Enough with the clock tickin' away,
Breathe, oh breathe! I pray.
All that matters, right in front of you,
A grey sky's just as pretty as when it's blue;
Time, oh! time...won't you be my friend,
Take my hand and I promise- this is not the end...

Missed a Beat
Anujaya Nov 2014
You can see the light,
You can see the dark.
You can miss a beat,
You can lose the spark.
But life is great and many gifts it brings,
It tides you over in a swing.
You think you've lost it but you never know,
When the wind will bring bright, white snow.
All the tunes you thought you skipped,
All the songs you thought you missed,
Are round the corner now
And will float whenever.
And all that you thought couldn't be,
Turns into a troubled sea.
But seas have high tides too, my friend,
And wishes come true....Godsend!!!

Not Spring Yet...
Anujaya Mar 2015
It's cold yet, a little cold,
The clay's still wet, still in the mould.
The wind's still blowing,
Rainy clouds still flowing.
It isn't spring yet, the wait goes on,
I still wake up at the break of dawn
Expecting to see the Sun,
But it looks like winter's still having a good run.
Feet still a little cold,
Walking towards future, untold.
Tremors of pain in the heart,
Stop as soon as they start.
I hear you birds, I hear you breeze,
Spring, I know you're round the corner, waiting for winter to freeze...
