A Walk Through The Woods
Anthony J Nacke Jul 2015
I walk through the woods
listening to the silence. Nature
has a way of calming your mind
and thoughts.

Sometimes it takes some-
thing special to help us
realize how lucky we are.
It could be something small
or huge, its always God's way
of saying "listen up."

It could be rain on a
Spring day, how the
sound seems to lull you
asleep or the smell a fresh
clean scent almost like
heaven.
This is another I'm not quite finished just wanted opinions on it. Seems like I start alot of projects and don't finish them. Anyway I hope you enjoy.

The Wheel Turns
Anthony J Nacke Jul 2015
The Wheel turns
as lessons are
learnt, whenever you
earn credit in life.

Each piece of
the pie tastes
better if its savored
instead of swallowing
it whole.

Growth is spokes
upon a wheel
with each one
they become stronger
more focused.
This one I am proud of.  Not sure how this one came about.
I was playing with words one day and this poem came out.
I hope you like this and I thank you for reading my poetry.

What is the Opposite of Love?

That is when no one wants to give you a
hug.
I know this is short its something I been practicing I'm reading how to book of writing poetry.  This type of poem is called Opposites.  Normally you have more lines then just two.  It can be three or even four but? I felt it didn't need anymore lines.  I hope you enjoy this.

The Moment was Frozen in time,
it wants to continue, it never ends.
its friends pulling Knives threatening
my livelihood.

They don't hear the tears
falling upon the dry, brittle leafs,
never see the strain on my face.
