A waging war
Anonpoetgirl Aug 2016
As we fight this waging war
for all we were before
guns raised in the form of words
as we fight the battle with our swords
words as sharp as knives
to make or break life's
for all we know is pain
we do it to keep us sane
from the bullets that we speak
and the guidance that we seek
to fill the holes they once make
we scream and shout
to let the pain inside out
but yet it's a never ending cycle
we fight, we scream , we cry
it's all good, I'm fine
all lies
so as we fight this waging war
for all that we were before
guns raised in the form of words
I pray that our humanity
our sanity
is not lost

What's left of us
Anonpoetgirl Aug 2016
The nights she layed awake
the smiles she had to fake
The tears  she cryed for those who left her
a broken toy tossed like trash
Burned till all that's left is ash
No idea of who she use to be
She's not sure of her identity
They left her for a new
Those who stay are very few
She cried and screamed
It went unheard it seemed
Begging for a hero
Someone to understand
The pain and sorrow of the past
And the idea that nothing lasts
The nights she layed awake
The smiles she had to fake
A broken toy tossed like trash
Burned till all that's left is ash
