I too have been brainwashed
by the sweet perfume of flower fields
the rippling whispers upon a serene lake
the jagged mountain cliffs
the smell of untainted desert air
by the purest drinking water
brainwashed not by the power of money
which has ***** such beauty
stealing it away into corrupt corporate pockets
padding your silk lined suits
brainwash yourselves for your own travesties
line your own coffin and gravestones
yet you shall not touch mine
for I wish to die not in your elephant graveyard
of smoke and annihilation
but within my own promise land
that is my planet untouched
by your mark of death, greed and obscenities

His smile was too warm upon her lips of ice
she hid behind his summertime facade
whilst basking in her own wintry demise
it was said she gave him butterflies of love
rest assured she was rife with maggots
he fell in love with a glacial corpse
smooth as glass, he slipped from the edge
blistering her rigid edges, he was too hot...
she was too cold, a mountain made of stone
frozen to the bone, The Queen of Never Ending Winter

*and he ran, never to look back

Green eyes of envy
blue eyes of desire
hazel eyes of fury
and brown eyes of deceit
violence within a heart amplified
fool me sly serpent
mine eyes shine the same golden hues as you
an angry mixture of your poison fangs
that so stealthily found their way to my iris
thus creating what you breathe now
a toxic creation

The Earth cried that day
the day her mother fell to slumber
ne'er again to wake
one resounding crash, boughs intertwined in perfect array
her colors fading, losing their deep hues of umber
the world over shuddered with such a quake
for the fairies had forgotten their way

*Dance for the trees and not the tithes
thus fell our Mother
The Tree of Life

raindrops wash his tears as the fiddler plays
his jet black locks caress his cheek, slowly shifting grey
he has sung his heartbreaking ode for years on end
his true love an audience ne'er again to attend
eyes that once shined a bright green hue
dulled by sorrowful tears turned the deepest blue
once a lover he'd had near the western shores of Ireland
the love of his life, a gorgeous young lass, for her he'd asked her hand
nary a day passed were they not by the other's side
alas, the young lass had a secret she could not abide
untimely demise had she met at the sleight of her very own hand
a pain so harsh no longer could she withstand
alive once he was, now just a fiddler in the hidden glen
ne'er to to step outside the trees to the light of day again
'neath the crescent moon he lies
now a slave to the fiddlers' tune, he cries
Unfinished I think but I will leave it for now.

When the moon comes up to the shine of a face
The birds are fast asleep
When the lanterns hang from every post
The fairies leave their keep
They join their hands and sing their songs
That ne'er a soul can hear
In the springtime when the earth is new
To the fairies they draw near
To the fairies they draw near

Come away with me now to the sky
Up o'er the hills and the sea
Far beyond where memories lie
To a place where I'm free to be me

Oh, gather ye now one and all
No what matter what all ye may do
Where the stars fill your soul
When the moon cradles all
So to yourself be true

The blanket of snow is o'ercome
Each flower waits for the sun
And the whispering tears of the rain
Holds promise for everyone

Then come away with me, friends
No matter where you call your home
With a light in our hearts, we will never part
No matter how far we roam

Deep in the forest we go
Creatures are all fast asleep
With a kiss and a wink we will waken our souls
Love is the safety we'll keep

And then we'll dance through the night
Till the sun will sparkle at dawn
And up way we will go like last winter's snow
Soon our work will be done

Oh, gather ye now one and all
No what matter what all ye may do
Where the stars fill your soul
When the moon cradles all
So to yourself be true

Oh, gather ye now one and all
No what matter what all ye may do
Where the stars fill your soul
When the moon cradles all
So to yourself be true

So to yourself be true

Reeking of blood
cuts so deep
years of abandonment
eons of turned backs
when day falls it seems easier
night envelops, ripping away
the idea that the scars may ever heal
can trust ever be given willingly
when all that has been known is betrayal
human behavior observed
selfish
self sacrifice so rare
heads turn so easily at the first ray of green grass
on the other side of that white picket fence
are we all the same, is it all one
should we not all turn tail and run
no one man for all, no all for one
is it really dog eat dog
when shattered trust is that
where else is there to turn
but to your own scars
so expected
so familiar
