A relapse is not a pretty thing.

As I finally pick up pen and paper
or at least set my fingers fluttering over the keys again,
I have no victory to report.

Medicine has saturated my mind and whisked so much away
acid dissolving the Munich, the Skin Man, the Stalker, and Others...
But as is often the case
when I cast off one
I fall to another

My nights
I sleep well
because I've spent the day pacing, sobbing, wringing my hands
back to where I was before the fear set in
back to where I've always been.

A relapse is
that one drop of cold water
that hits between your shoulder blades
while you take a hot shower
a constant reminder
of the the guilty thing you were

A tiny, tiny vine
snakes across my shoulder
where all of my t shirts and tank tops cover
but even I can see

A wind so strong it stripped the Putrid from sky.
Stripped the Dead from their light.
Stripped the Silence from night.

It carried their Souls.
As Easy as leaves.
Greed bleeds the flowers Green.

The toll of War is cold.
Only meadow holds Peace.
But Peace without doubt,
Cannot be relief.

Screams
             Purge
Haunt
             Earth

A wake brings Sleep.
A Dark new day.
Deaf ears so Meek.
As Quakes lay waste.

A Wind so strong it pulls, not pushes,
The Whispers of warriors and their Flags, before this.
Knocks on the doors and calls to their ******,
Like Poison dripped to the Bottom of a Bottle neck; Sonorous.

A Fever like Fervor,
A Mist that once knew Her,
A Glass that's now Empty,
On a Sunset spelled ******.

empty expression on your face,
a weary traveler with untied shoelace.
you look years way off your prime,
now a remnant left by time.
where were the vultures who preyed on your ****,
who stayed with you for they scavenged your meal.
now you solely walk the streets,
glancing at the faces of people you meet.
life gave you so much then,
you have everything except for a queen.
but you lose yourself and went astray,
overdosed and overused you went the wrong way.
you stayed on that track for years,
cause you can't escape the devil in your ears.
finally you saw your reflection on the water,
a blurry image so clear you staggered.
what happened to me? you asked,
and shook your head as you remembered the past.
tears trickled down to your lips,
where you taste your own anguish and the nightmares
from your sleep.
your heart cried out in agony and pain,
for you left behind those who waited in vain.
you washed your face and turned around,
walk the opposite direction,
you're homeward bound.
