I'm all on my own,
This is my chance to find out who I really am,
All I've lost,
All I've gained,
And all that remains the same.
I'm now one of all the rest,
I've lost my rhythm,
I've grown weak,
And all who stayed,
Are all lost,
Cold,
And distraught,
I'm a ghost,
I linger in the past.
My ship sank,
My plane fell,
my car crashed,
And my train is off its tracks,
Time for a detour.
Obstacles are now the foot steps ahead of me,
My choice of words around,
Thinking my thoughts aloud,
And my eyes wandering about,
Where is freedom,
Where is love,
Where have the times gone?
My bell rang,
Before lighting struck my steeple,
Everyone loved me,
Until the atheist burned all my people,
But you can't beat belief,
While my stained glass still shimmers,
Even in its riddance,
I am history,
Down in the books and admired like some old record.
You see now,
You've gone beyond the curriculum to hurt me I've acknowledged,
But I warn you,
You may be delivered a package of your own.
