It gathers dust
As it takes up a corner of your afterthought
Wont you pick up the pieces of my jigsaw heart?
Take your brush
And dust me off
Put me in a frame
And hang me up
Pick up the pieces of my jigsaw heart
They may look like they dont fit too well
You know jagged from all the wear and tear
But i promise you
They fit they do
Rewind to when i gave it to you whole
Ok now
Put me back as good as new

I saw you first
Strutting down the hallway
Your hair doing that crazy thing it does
I knew
I would grab that hair
and we would do some crazy things
I remember the first words you screamed in my ear
Drunken Words to a song I liked
And when you first kissed me
New Year waited for
February
I remember when you made tea
And I said I was easy
Oh no you are NOT you said
I pinched myself you know
somewhere in the middle of rain candles And you
yet I did not wake up
I haven’t still
You are wary I know of sentimental ****
But when you caught me, pushed my hair away
And whispered “happy?”
You should know it’s the happiest I’ve ever been.
