An Ode
Angshu LnX Apr 2014
Like the first few drops of summer u are...
Like a mother's healing touch.
Like a brook seen in the desert very far...
Feels like nothing could be such.

Like a good dream i recall all day,
Like the humming of that tune. .
Like a pearl in a heap of hay,
Feels like the Lord's great boon...

Like the bread eaten to break my fast,
Like the first steps of a child..
Like the lost wallet you find at last,
Feels like eternity found in the wild..

Like an island amid the deep blue sea,
Like the clear sky after rain...
You my love descended upon me,
And let go of all my pain...
An ode  to someone I'll always wait for :)

The Rust in The Sword
Angshu LnX Dec 2012
Hail Oh rustic charm of this moonlit night!
Hail Oh Heaven in my stealthy plight!
I pen down tears no words tonight,
Heaven thou have failed to bestow thy delight.

Unseen, Unknown, Uncalled for,
Little he promised, nay neither he swore;
Oh profound gloom, embrace me no more,
Tonight you have me in your galore.

Perhaps there is no answer to my 'why',
Neither in this land, nor in the sky,
The Lord has cut my wings, I cannot fly,
In this moonlit night, She will die!

No more can I pen Oh Lord!
I am paralysed, I do not have a word,
Was this the power of the Sword?
No adieu, nay neither a word?
This poem is an archaic expression of utter grief on the part of the poet because of the betrayal of someone beloved(friend, lover, spouse, etc.). It compares the Sword to the relation he shared and the rust to the betrayal and his loneliness... The "She" referred to is the purity of the bond which the poet had with the person(s). A reference to the fairer gender has been made to highlight the the purity. The poem ends with a feeling of disturbance so that the readers can relate to and reflect upon such an incident in their own lives.
