Through the haze of a lost timescape
I see the eyes of one who led me, loved me and left me
And now in this new dreamscape I wonder who is the dreamer and who has dreamed

Into being
The separate realities that collide
Reveal an existence that has always lived in me

And outside
In the new scape we navigate
I see the boundaries left to cross

For two people
In their new terrain, with no marked pathways
Only the yearning of something once known

A scent still lingering in breezes and forest fires
A familiarity that finds
The heart in a state of oneness with itself and all around

And through eyes I seem to have known since time began
I start to see who I am now
Through the breath of one I may have loved
I start to hear my soul sing
And in the arms of one who may have held me in another dimension
I start to know that protection lies within
I follow you knowing at one point we walked hand in hand
And our footsteps stood side by side
And through sitting opposite you I start to feel
The journey home has truly begun.

A singular time in Greenwich Park
Walking amidst the tourists and lovers
Nervous and indifferent at the same time
You surprised me with your truth
And  eyes that seemed to yearn for me to love you back

With a hand on your back
Teasing
You turned
And in a summer breeze
Sealed my soul with lips
That felt like coming home and leaving

Leaving you felt wrong
And coming home I sat with a new sensation
Normality
For perhaps the first time
It was good to be in my skin
Skin you had caressed
And I had let you.

In the illusion lies the truth
In the truth lies our illusion
And when closing my eyes the two drift through me
I feel helpless at not knowing which is which
What I do know
The sensation of your energy
How it feels to sit near you, how it feels when your energy has moved and how it feels when I am back alone at home
Truth and illusion
I look into the eyes of truth and see an illusion
We create the castles we want
The meanings re interpreted in our own twisted language

They both stood as if divided,
and yet remained joined-
in matrimony

The wedding rings tighter now,
The white dress paler
Memories and former passions
simply relics of the past,
Left to smolder in the dying embers

Touching her hand
he felt cold.
Her emotions re-iterated in everything she did.
Her eyes wandered listlessly around the room,
whilst she stood, gazing-
at nothing

Once they had lived,
now the early stages of decay had set in.
Once they had loved,
now that was over, hate had set in

Do they know these separated people,
what bitterness can do?
Do they know what anger and
spite and hatred can turn into?

No- for if they did,
then this bed would not be empty
nor this room so cold.
For love would light the fire
and warm the coldest of rooms
