Brujeria
Amairamy Paredes Nov 2022
And there you were standing in the center of the aisle
Even more handsome than I’d remember
In that moment I wondered if I'd stay still just still enough
Could I become invisible and stare at you forever

Slowly and then all at once the memories came rushing back
The memories I’d tried to drown out with alcohol
The memory of your skin touching mine
The way your lips felt on mine
The way you read my body
The way you dominated the beast in me, that never gave up control

Esa noche me hiciste brujería con tus labios
Esa noche me hiciste dudar todas mis verdad
Y me hiciste el amor con tus ojos
Despues de esa noche me dejaste sedienta de ti.

To the Man I Love
Amairamy Paredes Jun 2018
You truly put my past to shame
You came into my life and changed it
With your riveting mind
That holds a wise man
With a childish spirit

Your intellect makes me feel stupid at times
But you always make me feel loved
By the way you protect me
Care for me
And most of all the way you look at me
With so much love

I beg God that he let me look into those eyes forever
That he let me stay in your arms forever
Because theres no place I rather be, than your arms

I should've
Amairamy Paredes Apr 2018
It wasn't suppose to get this far
You weren't suppose to mean so much
Your touch wasn't suppose to affect me this much
Your eyes weren't suppose to be engraved
In my mind and heart

I wasn't suppose to fall in love with your laugh
Your name wasn't suppose to be written in my heart
I should've guarded my heart from the start
I should've played it safe
But instead I got attached

Heart Vase
Amairamy Paredes Jul 2017
Her heart broke
As if it was a vase
Falling from the top floor
Of a 100 story building
The pieces being so broken it looks like dust
Impossible to recognize
Impossible to pick up
Incapable of putting the pieces back together

She'd have to do it all on her own
Once more
She'd fallen harder then she could explain
It hurt more then she could explain
She'd cry more then she'd shown
She would have more sleepless nights then she could count

Maybe she'd give up on love
Maybe she's to broken to love again
Maybe she needs a savior
Maybe just maybe no one could save her

A Boy With The Art Of Joy
Amairamy Paredes Jul 2017
He sits there with joy
But he's a poor boy.
With a broken heart
And with the art of joy.

She sits there with glee
For she is in love with a boy,
A boy whose heart she broke.
Amairamy Paredes Jul 2017
She was a poem that a poet was never able to write
He was knight that was never able to fight
She was the cake that a cake maker was never able to make
He was the goal that a soccer player was never able to score
She was the rhyme
He was the melody
She was the sun
He was the moon

They were star-crossed lover
Always passing each other but never colliding
Maybe the timing was never right
Or maybe they were always meant to be another poem of two star-crossed lovers
