You Don’t Listen
Alo Veera Oct 2020
hour after hour, your mandible speaks only of itself.
the egotistical nonsense makes a woman scream, no one can bare it anymore.
you sew thread in our mouths to keep us from expressing ourself,
because- if another body speaks, who knows how bored you become.

pathological liar,
your words become farce to the ears,
we see through you.
we know you even if you don’t comprehend it.
rambling lies, not for our hearts desire.
no one wants to converse with you anymore,
you cheat,
you lie,
you don’t listen.
for the narcissists.

Soft Pink
Alo Veera Oct 2020
lips like rubber, your body burns like the heat of summer..
your sauna drips.. a taste so sweet, like the forbidden fruit of God..
soft nibbles..curved back, legs high, mouth wide.
speak to me,
Venus’ walls close in,
deep breath,
her Moon is too full.
her stars spin like the speed of light,
let go,
her thick fluids flow to the sound of a riff.
her sound is beautiful, it’s contagious..

Venus is through. No more to offer, to devour.
But her taste remains elegant, how rewarding.
take a guess..

Trapped
Alo Veera Sep 2020
Am I borrowed for your fantasizing?
Or am I merely just another pawn on your board?
There are times when I ask myself,
“Will I be played in his game today?”
“Will I suffer the same antagonizing threats from the very beginning of time?”
My road is getting narrower,
I have no place to run,
His road is only getting wider-
Enough to catch me.
I try to get out,
But what can I do?
I run obstacles and some days I feel myself overcome.
Other days I give up and let him take over me.
The sun is setting, the moon is rising.
It’s almost too late.
I try to escape but his beauty only makes me swoon, and fall within the same cycle.
I am in his trap once again..
What is done is done.
He won the game.
I had fallen for a boy in high school, but influenced me in the wrong way.

Colorblind
Alo Veera Sep 2020
brown, gray, black, and white-
neutral.
simple, calming, fair.
i wish i could see what you see,
the thought of color is overwhelming.
the vibrancy of hot pinks and cobalt put discomfort in my eyes,
they burn with too much excitement,
my mind is too delicate for the endless hue intake..
color has a presence.
an emotional depth society caresses profusely.
red is anger,
pink is passion,
blue is sadness,
green is envy,
yellow is whit,
tuscany,
amber,
crimson,
mahogany,
jade,
mulberry,
cornflower,
colors are the definition of anxiety,
too much of one color, yet not enough color.
six primary colors turn into thousands,
if not yet millions of secondary and tertiary colors..
you’re content,
i wish i was, too.
lend me your eyes for a day so i can examine life in another perspective,
so i can see what fortuity the spirits of the universe have bestowed upon you.
brown is courage,
gray is tranquility,
white is rebirth,
black.. is silence.
is that you?
I dedicated this poem for a friend of mine who is colorblind. Colorblindness has always intrigued me, and I want to understand it in a deeper sense.

Disaster See, Disaster Go
Alo Veera Sep 2020
It sneaks when goodness takes a stroll through who knows where,
It crashes when pleasure has adopted a seat,
Its sinister smirk, dark— his joy is not something bottled up, for he expresses it indefinitely through the horrific aftermath.
Do you not have any shame?
Do you not feel apologetic?
Disaster doesn’t care. He lacks the thing labeled pity, sorrow— hurt. That’s the word.
Disaster makes his next mark elsewhere and parts.
He leaves everyone else stuck with no savior,
No hero,
No heroine,
No felicitousness,
No hope,
Just a disaster.
