brown, gray, black, and white-
neutral.
simple, calming, fair.
i wish i could see what you see,
the thought of color is overwhelming.
the vibrancy of hot pinks and cobalt put discomfort in my eyes,
they burn with too much excitement,
my mind is too delicate for the endless hue intake..
color has a presence.
an emotional depth society caresses profusely.
red is anger,
pink is passion,
blue is sadness,
green is envy,
yellow is whit,
tuscany,
amber,
crimson,
mahogany,
jade,
mulberry,
cornflower,
colors are the definition of anxiety,
too much of one color, yet not enough color.
six primary colors turn into thousands,
if not yet millions of secondary and tertiary colors..
you’re content,
i wish i was, too.
lend me your eyes for a day so i can examine life in another perspective,
so i can see what fortuity the spirits of the universe have bestowed upon you.
brown is courage,
gray is tranquility,
white is rebirth,
black.. is silence.
is that you?
I dedicated this poem for a friend of mine who is colorblind. Colorblindness has always intrigued me, and I want to understand it in a deeper sense.
