dawn welcomes a breach of sentiment.
wide eyes open and close,
a shimmer of light dancing across the glassy canvas.
lips part to devour the heavens
and so steady
do the words flow from the conscience.
to trust in the lips that tell the purple prose
so too shall the err be not forgotten
gaze and listen
the rising dawn welcomes a breach of sentiment
but the eyes,
they remain open.

How I wish to sleep
In the solace of eternity
With a cloud beneath my back
And the stars bright in my eyes

"life is meaningless
we all end with the same fate,
so why bother?"
is what i always thought.

well rather what i still believe.

but things have changed
life doesn't seem so dull with you around
i used to think change was pointless and irrelevant
and that everything was for nothing

but you,

you're a ray of light in a bleak storm
you're a splash of color on a blank canvas

please

never change

I was never born to please
I only answer to myself

i stand atop a building, its roof overlooking the streets below
the wind blows harshly at such an altitude
but i remain

my feet rest on the ledge
and my balance could fail me at any moment
i look down onto the busy cityscape
i can barely make out the figures
people walk below me
so small

as i watch
adrenaline pumps through my body
the roar of the wind echoes in my ears

I feel alive
