i feel alive again
truly wide awake
at 3:00 pm
when i hit the water
maybe its the adrenaline
the feeling of  power
when you push forward
the seconds dropped like stones
it was you
with a calender empty
this is what you've done
the days filled with one thought
nights spent anxiously awaiting the next morning
this is the top
but it is never done

Running Blind
Alexandra Sweitz Sep 2015
there is someing liberating
about walking ******* down a road
in  the middle of nowhere.
with two people
and the cloak of darkness
i feel like i could be anyone
do almost anything.

stars up above
and a few next to me
after all
the sky is everywhere
it begins at our feet.

the soft murmmuring  of the night
our laughter is lonely
but bright nonetheless

we spill our secrets
scream them underwater
hoping
praying maybe someday,
someone will hear.

Easy Silence
Alexandra Sweitz Sep 2015
there are spaces
in between the air i breathe when i meet your gaze
suddenly
i cant think
it is like i have amnesia
so i take the easy way out
head down
eyes down
silence is best
when i open my mouth
nothing good happens.
