par excellence
aisyahaffandey Feb 2019
took a while to reset
trying to undo what's done
but there's nothing in between
the same shadow
lingering, bickering, monotonously
fists held high
words turned sore
hearts became stones
nothing can be undo
but still
incomparable
you are par excellence

Connection
aisyahaffandey Jul 2018
I swam across 7 billion people
To find connection
But still
To no avail

Drowning in a sea of motions
Sent up flares
The clouds and its auxiliaries
Oh I am still lonely

It rains
It pours
And loneliness flows in the river
To its abode in abyssal plains

Tell me now
Where can I get connection
As people began to tire
I put my foot on the floor

Switching lanes
Searching connection
But still
To no avail

Halt
aisyahaffandey May 2018
The universe seems to halt, a brief pause, mesmerized by a presence. How can a metaphor, brought 2 humans together, like a couplet, they rhyme in harmony. A euphony, every words spoken, every conversation engaged, every glance taken, sparked a pleasing unison. You speak anapestic and I am allured by your french charms. Oh, I am having writer's block, your next stanza is a blank verse.

Silhouette
aisyahaffandey Feb 2018
Everything was in turmoil as you toiled a little too harsh
What if the silhouette could speak that reality is made of flesh and bones
Ethereal seems not real when you could hear the footsteps of gravity
And you recoiled from fantasy instantly
Oh honey, close your eyes to old ends
Let your heart win to new beginnings
Shake up illusions and breath in noble truth
Because attitude creates reality

broken vessel
aisyahaffandey Jan 2018
a loaded ship
full of hope
in quest for serenity
what may seem infinity
might not be possible

a heart so noble
yet fragile
your words, so agile
yet impulsive
your false alarm, so corrosive

the ship has broken
hopes sunk
whispers of sorrow awaken
as she wonders in blue funk

Don't go to sleep with tears staining your pillow
Don't go to sleep with misery and self infliction, wrapped
around you
Don't let frustration and sadness,
pulls you to sleep
Don't let bad dreams indulge in,
your fear of losing

Let go
Break free
Let your heart heal
You sacrificed your heart and soul
For it to end up being shattered

You are worth more than a dime a dozen
You are given the greatest gift of life
And they are just despicable

But you neglected the number one rule of kindness
You expected something in return

Let go
Break free
Let your heart heal
You sacrificed your heart and soul
For it to end up being shattered

A little something
aisyahaffandey Nov 2017
Just a little something from me
For someone like you
Just a little something from me
For you to reminisce somewhere later
Just a little something from me
Juices and excerpts from a comrade

Gather them breathes
As your nerves perplexes
The next roller coaster ride engages

How time flashes me back to your presence
How those days came as an essence
A seamless accident?
A slick coincidence?
None would matter
As if it had rained pitter patter

Bless the broken and fragile
Bless those little cracks
You outgrew those cracks and crevices
You were made of paper hearts, creased with mistakes

But no one told you
You're an illuminating silhouette against the sunrise
You blind the world with thousands of twinkles under your skin
And let me tell you this
There were days when life were vain
There were days when the skies were greyer
But listen to your voice
There were also days where birds were chirping everywhere
Get lost in your thoughts, in a blanket of stars

Plant that whimsical reverie of yours
Even when others had plucked it out
Water it, watch it grow
And live
There's nothing you can't do if you put your mind and effort in it!
Made in the A.M. for A.M.

Til Death Do Us Part
aisyahaffandey Sep 2017
Monogamous
Like a pack of wolves
An honour for fidelity
Together through their lives
How commitment wasn't a matter at brief

O lone wolf, held your head up
Sympathy and what not
Mourning on what has been taken away
Or looking for a Capulet
What is destined will reach you

Like the complimentary delicate salt
and volatile pepper
How we never asked for them together
Like the sea under the sky
Were bound at the horizon

And til death do us part

I
aisyahaffandey Jul 2017
I
I swore to myself to not write about you again
Because all it does is breaking me
But somehow it kept me alive
And so I kept on writing about you
As if you're the oxygen that has been flowing in my vein
And I need you.

You wouldn't know how to swim if you were never drown.
You won't know what love is if you never let you heart break.
That's what you fail to understand
That life comes with conditions.
Every beginning comes with an end.

But what we deny to believe is that there's good in every bad.
We never bother to believe that stars can't shine without darkness.
Sometimes the people that you hate are the epitome to the great things that happened later.

Expect less from people and improve more towards your reality.

Are you Houdini?
Captivating illusionist
Superior performer
Dramatic entertainer
You caught my eyes
Held my gaze
I couldn't look away
My souls caught on fire
Round of applause to you

A bitter solace
You occupied my mind
And here I am, trying out my luck, fingers crossed
Auditioning for a role in your life
When you have another woman auditioning for my role

You are a silence, begged to be understood
You are a whole new galaxy, waiting to be named
You are a field of dandelions, filled with a hundred wishes
You are a sun, burning bright deep abyss my gloomy core
You are a chaos in your own mind, but still
You dwell in mine, tranquilly
You left your traces, my heart is now a stained glass
You took it all and left the tattered remnants to me

Allegiance
aisyahaffandey May 2017
None of this were deliberately laid out
Never have I intended to reach this far
You treasured the best in me
Swept away the dust, filling the void
Lit the candle in me that swore to never burn again
Now I'm pledging allegiance to the pain
Petrified of having to wave you one last time
Bid farewell, flooded with sorrow and eternal emptiness
We are mortal and doomed
I have to let go
Before the impossible profound us
Before we lose friction, permanently
Rattled to the universe you showed me and the honey you fed me
Infatuated with this blissful pain
Sacrificed my walls down for you to come in pounding my heart
My pages will end soon
But you'll remain one of its most beautiful chapters
You're my worst decision
But the most beautiful destiny
Pity you, quietly unaware of that.

Pleasure and sin
aisyahaffandey May 2017
Remarkably
Sometimes sin is a pleasure
And pleasure is a sin
Astonishingly
How can you be both?
A pleasure and also a sin to me
A poisoned honey to fulfill my sweet appetite
When there's death, awaiting
A hedonistic pleasure, seductive sin
Anguish suits you best
She's inclined, arms tied, heart chained, lips anchored
Scars remained, an ecstatic reminder
Fixing is impossible, when breaking is also a choice
But its too late, she's already induced
With his guilty pleasures and blissful sins

Time
aisyahaffandey May 2017
She's constantly looking at her watch, gazing around, anticipating an entity, on tenterhooks
She rambles and wanders, agitated
Until she felt a soft brush against her shoulder

"Where have you been? I've been looking for you. You're 30 minutes late"

As she mumbles and fumbles in distress,
her eyes were hooked to another pair of blue eyes, across the alley
Their movements were in recognition
She was at the wrong venue all this while

She suddenly lose her words
Her lips were anchored as she witnesses
Those pair of blue eyes, were sparkling in brilliance, meeting another pair of blue eyes
Their hands locked as they marched away together

She grabs her sore chest, grieving, howling, queering the pitch
Her mind dwelt away, bewildered in her own sentiment
Ignoring the entity next to her, he was in obscure silence

"I've been waiting for you patiently, my whole life" he uttered.

She found the wrong person, at the right time
While he found the right person, at the wrong time
Their tides of life crashing
Their path were inextricably intertwined,
for a reason
Time and fate swears to conspire with the universe
To discover what lies ahead for them
Don't grieve for the loss of someone who is still alive. Chin up!

"What am I to you?" he asked

"You're a cat. A cat-astrophe. Spellbinding" she replied.

And she was spellbound
the whole time.

Partly Cloudy
aisyahaffandey May 2017
You can't witness the rainbow
Without tasting drops of rain, trickling on your ivory skin.
You can't experience jubilance
Without going through amidst despair and desolation.
Make them puzzle over
How impervious are you
How impenetrable are you
How invincible are you
How unshackle are you
How sticks and stones can't hurt you
How stiff words can't ***** you
Because you're a partly cloudy mundane
With a levitated spirit and mind
Defying gravity
Hovering above what's holding you down
You are the 8th wonders of the world

Oblivion
aisyahaffandey May 2017
Oblivion
A pleasure
A bliss
An acedia
Remembrance is a pain
Despise hurts
Offensive repugnance
Oblivion
A blessing
A sovereignty
An ******
To let mind dwell away
The Earth, carved with misery and desolation
Oblivion
A labyrinth of tranquility
A quest for placidity
A warfare out of blue
A cure of the old wounds
But not to neglect your mortal shield
As oblivion is addictive
You'll crave for soft darkness
As you embark on a journey to Lethe

Happy Mother's Day
aisyahaffandey May 2017
You are a gift from above
A shooting star
You are the water
That washes away my blues and sorrows
That hardens my shell
Your strength and love
Guided me, gave me wings
Help me soar
Reaching beyond the walls of impossible
Your eyes
Soft and calm
They've seen through me
My tears, my laughter, my joys, my disappointments
Sparked when I am disrespectful
Stern when I needed a lesson
Wrinkles started to form
At the edge of your eyes, youth is fading
You are aging
Time will come and take you away from me
I will never trade the moments we shared together
The lessons you taught me
For your heart is of purest gold

She had a rough start
Indirect communications
Blinded by words from third parties
"I don't like her" they say
Seething masses of resentment
"Where did I messed up?" she asked
A pursuit of calm in calamity

Behind those eyes, lies 2 pools of regret
Flooded every night, dries when the sun comes
Behind those lips, lies a fake smile
Switching its curves, as the sun switches with the moon
Behind her chest, lies a brokenheart
Constantly stitching itself with false hopes
Laughter through tears is her favorite emotion

But little did she realise
She is a combination of soft and strong
A combination where science could not fathom
She was a steel, and forever a steel
