Sloth
Aditya Roy Feb 2020
You mean everything to me
You speak of nothing
Do you know what is nothing?
It is as winter pairs up with frost
A gentle breeze thaws the crisp snowflake

Hurry
Love is silent like a cove
I feel your turns
I touch your walls above
I cannot hear the rainy splore
As long as I am moved

Hurry, it is time to leave
It is time to settle, breeding
Tomorrow is running away, mixing
The ash that will cover the dead land soon
My heart like a sunflower will know nothing
Not even, your essence clothed by the flowers and the seas

When I'm alone
I cannot atone for my selfish love
I want you near me all the time
When you speak my impressions take focus
Like the thawed out verdant gardens uncovered by spring

A steep hill falls downward pocked
By foothold and foothold only
Take your step, but, hurry
And come down with me
Or the moss shall carry

In this moving hour of love
Be my concomitant in this life
Eternity shall last a long time
Through the tedium of hibernation
It is a pain to be alive, without you
For a better world

The Words Of This Fate
Aditya Roy Feb 2020
If the ground is red with blood of soldiers
The skies will be filled with liberty
If they declare truce
There will be screams for the martyrs

If they refuse to sit with us as citizens
The righteous will stand as criminals
If the powerful ask for peace
The weak will have to resort to violence

If the rich have the luxury to be lenient
The poor don't have the amenity of justice
If the power is being cruel to be kind
Then we will spread kindness
Because being kind is no cruelty

Unpredictable
Aditya Roy Feb 2020
When I look
Into your eyes
You will remember me

When I look
Into your wounds
You will heal me

When I look
Into your past
You will sneak past me

When I look
Into your soul
You will say nothing

When I look
Into your crimes
You will say life has been cruel

When I look
Into your fears
Can you show me courage
How strange love is.

Virgin Suicides
Aditya Roy Feb 2020
Poverty is the worst form of violence
A rebel once, is a rebel forever
I'd die standing, than to live barely breathing
But, the government
Would rather laugh at my crippling disease
I can't stop making living a form of suicide
So, I'll leave it to you
To give peace a chance to decide
But, when the government steals our vote
A nation of millions will be voting peace

A polemicist writer encouraged
Without a brass farthing in his trousers
"Follow your inner moonlight..."
"Knowing is not enough..."
But, the government
Won't even let me speak let alone complete
I'm sick, of this ****** suicide
Which steals speech
However, when the courts close on Tuesday
We will buy flowers for the people and be loved
And a beggar will die a peaceful death

Be my friend
Instead of my lover
We can be flowers
Who never touch each other
But, share beauty
Of spring's unseen presence
As well as the same soil

My Life
Aditya Roy Feb 2020
It is everyday after dinner
I lose sleep on problems
Many a book by side
If I were a poet I'd give my life for creativity

She fixes my flat for free food at three
Someday she'll be ignoring how I curl asleep
A despot comes to ask me pay my dues
True, we might be leaving very soon

If I loved her, I would formulate a lie
She is my friend in the darkest dream
Guiding me to the hour I'll wake up the trees facing the midnight gale

My heart wants sleep with the wooden puppets
The strings of stars carry the leaves
They bid farewell
As I remember they should say hello, should I dwell

I read the paper
Revise the news
Watch televised ads
And eat commercialised food
My life is on the radio

First they tell you to marry
Then they ask you to find the right one
Or let them choose
They don't know what they are doing
Because you want to be someone else

Such are my dinner ruminations that never make the table

Ode To Her Fairness
Aditya Roy Feb 2020
An emotional wreckage
She brushes her beautiful hair over her ear
Frantic talking ensues in movement of careless hands and lips
All the world is a stage
And world merely a din and a prayer to your quips
Walking in the night of starry ammunition
She is the green light of Auroras
She is my life without contrition
Engrained with intellect she does not please
At least she is not distant darkness
That ensnares purple hearts in entirety
And dwells on love's flaws
She appreciates the imperfections
Therefore she is royal beauty by law
Like the numinous clouds
So far from sad skies with herons
If I fainted from the height of love
She'd enshroud me in her passion with poetic precision
It is in good fashion not precociousness
Volute waters swirl like bokeh
Offering a sacred picture of voluptuousness
Where she semaphores to her inveigled face
An emotional river of gold
She is one who needs to be dredged for industrial progress
Without question or answer such is her worth
It is a shared with the paupers scuttling nearby
Abstracted eyes study mademoiselles
With glühwein and drunk glaucous cocktails
In panem et circenses
Where we share bread we need romance
Such is her glad fairness of my mistress

Sailing Blues
Aditya Roy Feb 2020
When I was in the darkness
Riding the ferris wheel
I'd lie in solace with my mind awake
As a kid, it is too much work to hold a girl in her sleep

When I found youth in the wilderness
Walking at the dead of darkness
No sight of the living
It might all change with a bit of scorned love

When the beaches went dry
I was too young to think or dwell
They were sure we hadn't fought well
But, I had enough time to try to fake

When I found a citizen walking
I started stalking my aunt
Now, they were afraid of my rants
I realized, fights always end the same

When the days grew cloudy
By the time I was thirsty
Farewell said the salvation army
America is far away it seems

They had never seen God or hurt
All their dreams came true
Their fears came alive
When they realized they'd terrorised the place

Flowers Bend With Time
Aditya Roy Feb 2020
I wish we could be together
Life wouldn't allow us to be old today
Like flowers that bend together
Bending their little heads

The mirror carries a reflection
The sun loses interest
Flowers bend with time
As sure, as mirrors never lie

The governor drinks his coffee on the terrace
It starts raining as the wind circles
Tomorrow is promising
As the promises of yesterday

I have many miles through ice storms
But, flowers bend with time
Not the wind
It's the sun keeping them warm

The mirror carries a reflection
But, flowers bend with time
But, not the wind
Life runs away each day

Aditya Roy Feb 2020
Baby, please hold me close
Under the orange skies when you look far away
Love, on seven waves
Night skies sparkle like my heart of stars

Love is for sale
Looking for a fabulous ride
Those were the days when we were alive
The hate has died

Then she'll be a true lover
Who laughs like angels
And wishes for God
As she scars herself in regret

Love is for sale
Where is the time
For cars moving too fast
To hear her sing on the pavement

It is a still life washed in color
In simple faded time
The shadows cover the store
For someone who wants to be mine

Love isn't for sale, just take a breath

Strawberry Skies
Aditya Roy Feb 2020
If you were that ******* the stage
Then come home with me, be around us boys
Live with me instead, that's a pretty lie
My mom trusts your good heart to share

But, no one's love is as true as mine
Under the rocks
Under the skies
And the blue, only you only you

Say what you want
Do you want to think
Under the rocks
Under the skies, of me

Say you want my love, true
Trust my voice
If you want my dreams to come true
Then you didn't have to trust the goodness

Of old days
Under the rocks
Under the skies
Under the moon, for us

If you were all I had
I'd hold your hands
And love you deep
Like a valley on its knees

Does she paint on the canvas
Was three years to long
For us to believe love's irony
Under the strawberry skies

Well, you come in your cream Cadillac
In the alley of cool cats

Your rich clothes make no sense anymore
I don't know what you want from the scores
If it's the talk
Really, don't come ******* to me no mo'
You ain't calling the shots these days
Oh yell from the thunderdome

Well, then you didn't have be so frigid back then
Like the drinks in your white limousine

Well, you're rolling in the deep

Single Mother
Aditya Roy Feb 2020
Under her pile of books in college
She keeps a smoked cigarette
Sooner than later
She'll be piled up
Late late late her boss cries
She wakes up
She has now started snooping for greets
The secretary much to her chagrin signs out
She loses her daughter and becomes her paperwork
No one told her school is easy
Keeping a job requires sedulity
And working two jobs deserves an honor
Now the boss laughs when she came late
She snoops from the desk holding life
With a halo of sordid affairs
She manages to feed her children while she rubs their backs
Welfare stamps and everything
She is employee of the year
She has got a car
That she can turn on
As one holds such power
Over there supervisor
Business trips take first priority
She gets the family package
She can be with her family
Or maybe keep them together
No missing faces in the picture
She cries

To find the right to educate
I undulated in classrooms for Christmas day
Atmosphere was frenzy with talk and bustling

Boys known to us, came preying for us too
A picture in a moment and many
Back near the screen door slammed, a star can't hold

I beg to differ with the answer of love
Sin in the insidious polymath jailed weak
Land of saw-dust restaurants among cheap malls

The tanks share skies, unfeeling, today itself
I know the shells there keep us silenced
Like cautious children, express themselves easy

Abstruse comforts in home of the kind
Children cry when they see unyielding days
Let us make our visit or dare to pass

Like a canary that don't sing with broken firebirds
So keep your feather ready
There will be murders by the numbers

We will catch up soon with our own lives
When history repeats itself step by step
Shout will be bridled with whelmed with war
Iambic pentameter

Come and be all I need
We can start afresh with no reason to be asleep
Fish in the seas are romantic too
If your eyes are blue, they'd have green like a river in which they move
My love, can I carve you
If I were a carpenter, I would take two years on thy foot
I would mortgage my soul to be carving next to you

Reddest lips often cherry wood, deserve more than this
As love is, I know it best like my first kiss
T'was when I scuttled for enamoring bliss
Eternity to search for you to treasure the last kiss
Your statue would cast a spell on me
I would be proudest to fill the grave, however
While you humbly grace the cathedral with looks unloved
As pleasant as love is
Releasing hate from existence is as necessary
Love its genial adversary
Our daughters will tear from the bark and spread resin

I got the blues
They have come over me, like Tuesday
If they live in the city where sea implores
Here is a drink with ice too freeze by rhime
A tune can bring love in your heart, baby on time
Freeze it too, here Freddie tends to the bar
Bar's closed on Sunday
If Tuesday is the day, blood is red
Both are true, one is truer
I can get a drink to escape my feelings in my heart
And bring feeling in my chest, as they shoot down Adam
It is a heaven, a sinner can bear

Your ******* like snow apotheosize the warm sun
Your eyes flicker like a candle
Have color like dyes, my heart melts like wax
I just noticed that
Tu es mannequin?
Hey they are a bit like a blurry gelid ice cream
Have you been storing the boxes, Jimmy for the team
We are waiting for the flowers to bloom, blondie
Blues are not for show for your pretty face
Red remind him of you, roses last a date or three
What's in between is mellow and everlasting, like the first kiss
Too beautiful to picture much too effervescent to hold for the wrong woman
But, it is more than purple and yellow
It has violet though with a colorful name that is dun

Interlude
Roses are red
Violets are blue
Lavender, what can I do for you for fun
That's when I realized she escaped with him
I was left selling those flowers under the sun

Because they are at the heart of the sun
It must be you at the horizon, my love
If you can't feel me

Stirring like flying hands in a bar brawl

But, I look forward to hearing from you
If you tell me to keep my love
I'll keep waiting for eternity

Yellow Fog
Aditya Roy Feb 2020
Surrey street address
He lives in the tallest building
Combs his hair
And caresses his armchair, yellow strobe light

Wears dressrobes
Stands in the light of yesterday's glances
Bystanders are so busy
They stray from the suburban dread

The dead of the lugubrious stripes of zebra crossings
On the streets of thiefs that vandals call Bob Rice on
They call Peter Thiel, the true blue
But call me on a red light

Redemption is for the ones who have bared their souls
The next day is the same for choices you have to make
It is a price I must pay
Difference I take from this is making me much miserly

I have to wear these robes wrong
If the python wraps on my shoulder too tight, curse me Dad
Right or kneeling to the left, there is a nearby mongoose mom!
If they fight, I will **** myself
I do this every silver morning

If I live to die
I shall cry till my heart faints
In bets, I found lust behind that vain lady
She says does the moon shine like my charming face

Sun burns bright or does gold turn to diamond rust
Tigers tread on such an ablation
Soon a dull ache will turn into a whisper
Hear that Eli Eli Sabbachtani cry in my sea of change

Strangers with electric fur and wires
It has been years since I heard you
Most prey whisk away from my thin hands
She says,"Je suis trop peur pour toi." with some concern

Live or die

Spring season reminds us things, we slept
Winter, that once was a warm shelter now shivers and wilts

I wonder when she gets better
If they tell you the photo is hollow
They are sure of the memory's flaw
And who it belongs to
I hope you find your face
If you're lost in your soul
If you want a few days to hold on to
We are growing old with each pallbearer
Buy yourself another one of us to keep company
Friends will keep you hassle free
When they hand in your notice
It shouldn't come at a huge amount, a tuppence
For a pence you could change the world
If you share it
You are okay baby
The photograph will remind you how you are mine
Your emotions are compartments in my ethereal soul
But, the train has passed, jaded
And so has my reason to live, faded

When the world is full of lies
If we are stuck with him

If they tell you your Dad went to heaven
Paradise is truly lost to veterans
Scared of moving to the other side
But, I like the waves on his little face
I can still the fear on his face
If they tell you are a coward
Tell them love is for free
But we have to sell guns
And **** people with sten guns
When we can get higher by the highway
On 60 near the tequila horizon
On a tequila sunrise
We can share kisses
But, he can keep looking for us

Under the cricket's rickety reed
Hello, love

Bad Day
Aditya Roy Feb 2020
With my sad life
Maybe, it could take a joke
Like kids need a lullaby
Or talk like castles in the sand
If it were free
Elope with me like Juliet
And commit me to memories
So, that you can turn over to the next page
Ready for the dream
Life is light
Light is life
Are you lifeless when you are dealing with a new day
Life has no happy ending
Only endless turning of pages
The road turned left
I climbed the hill
And turned and coiled the curled streams
Ever since I had said those three words together
Love finishes first
Without sensibility
Or continuity
Or with confident tune
Or proud stride
Or faithful leap
Like a lapse of judgement
Every new day
Comes with a new tune
But, you might break your heartstrings
So stay alive
You rescue me from my lies
You are the most beautiful woman
I have ever lied to
But, the truth is
That I am not fair enough for your stare
If you have any admirers
Don't tell me so soon
I have a couple of my own
I want a few days with you
I like reading your lips

Surreal street
My neighbor's house still is green, gates open
Hangs from the clothes line, the halcyon image
Stuck inside these cold walls, a celadon boiling pan
In red and azure, granite and brick lay strewn
Like an unseen wind, that bellows in my neighborhood
Blue is the warmest summer, sun looks like day
When the skies turn to nubile solipsism, night changes
Polaroid of my childhood reminds me of the lost time, stars were fantastic
This was where I grew tanner and older, now we have grown
We just have love in common, there goes the police
Yoking together law and power, a colored footprint
Turning the graves more and more, concrete trees
Exiling the tenants, food for free
Keeping the truth alive though, but hope has died
The missing girl has now come back, with a Siamese cat short
She is on a holiday, in the UK
She reads much of the night, and goes away
Lest the memories feed on her lung, tail and heart
Tales from a storefront, is her only recluse
Her friend is now a balloon

When you're born
They expect you to be ready
When you can't even function
They expect you to sleep
Keep you dreaming religion
Same goes for instagram
They sell you clothes
But, strip you naked with their snake eyes
Like a snake sheds it's skin
If they tell you go to school and keep calm
Carry your bag and just follow me
I'll teach you isolation you find in childhood
If you are afraid of the dark
I'll show you how to make money in adulthood
You'll never fear your shadow if you're free
If you are afraid of the burning trees
I'll make a fair statement often
Why don't we think
Instead of remembering our history from books
The world can end this century
With 15 minutes of fame on TV
When you surfeited the breeze
They told you that it did well not go outside
Until, you were a mother
Didn't playing with us butterflies make sense back then
Are we doing drugs to feel sorry, to remember you
For ourselves there is only April
And what has left us
Or what went wrong every passing hour
When the trees used to be dark and steep
Had veritable power
Now, I'm afraid of heights
I'll never be ready for your love
Because the world was round
I knew I was meant to leave you
As sure I was ready to meet thee
Love is free
Freedom is free too
I can take back both, as I forget about you
I can show you where the wind howls in the hallucinations of Arkansas

As you ilk through forests dark and steep
The queen of bees could sting
The butterflies in your stomach
Laugh at the flowers in her hair
You have had her in a look

Suffers a broken heart like the others
A fool likes you too
You should marry her and find her

Always smart
But, never privileged
It was riches
He looked after
But, he took to educating
His son

When his wanted son asked for
"A guitar?"
He asked
"Does it make you rich."
The son replied
"No."
"But it makes my mother happy."
"It's bigger than you," he said
"How will I buy this?"
So my mother bought it
At his request
I play a song for him every now and then
Because that makes him happy
While my guitar gently weeps every time
I play for my mom
She loves every bit of me

I am yours, and I have had enough
The strawberry Fields are now black
Like the yellow sun in a solar eclipse
What men do in love
Do wrong in marriage
Like so many women make love and celebrate it
In the cathedral, everyone comes and goes
So do friends and foes
Where are the women now, now the world turns in reverse
Little by little, we might make better days
When the alcoholics stop falling through puddles
And understand the ripples of time cannot be seen only made

Years have gone
It would be fun
If it didn't end all in just one day of divine romance
Where creation and maintenance falter
Deep purple of fruits lurch into drifting purple haze
Yellow dandelions turn white and fly like cotton seeds
And sunflowers turn to the Sun, to be yellowy ash
Because I do not hope to turn
Not tomorrow nor today
As I desire that man's story
And that man's destiny
Never looking at my past
I will finally have mortgaged my soul
Where spring shall never come to the world
The judgement of man is in his esteem
And his prestige in his distinction
"We are on the verge of extinction"
Singing among the nightingales
