A blue, glossy haze
Foggy and lifeless
No movement
No sound
Only you and it
The thing you caused
The thing you made
Your cheeks are hot
Ears throbbing
Panic
Fear
You try to process
You try to move
But, you are static
Frozen,
Like the body
Like it
The poison pulses through your veins
You wait for relief
And then,
Darkness

When I hear him speak
I feel lonely too
And, though I know that he is weak,
There’s nothing I can do

When I press my ear against the wall
I hear the Man within
And though he tries to tell me all
I cannot purge his sin

There is a Man who lives inside my walls
He struggles to survive
But, when I hear his mournful calls
I know he’s still alive

You can here him too, I’m sure
In those quiet times
I hope that you can find his cure
Absolve him of his crimes

I wish I knew less about this Man
His thoughts now haunt my dreams
I can no longer remember when it all began
I’ve heard so many schemes

There is a Man who lives inside my walls
He struggles to survive
But, when I hear his mournful calls
I know he’s still alive

A man stands in the corner
Darkness conquers the light
His clothes, in shambles
A glint in his eyes
Across the room
A heated argument
You avert your gaze
Looking back, the man has gone
Only memory remains
