taking long road trips in the back of a minivan,
to a beach the ocean to hear the waves crash on the shore.
No school, and tan lines for days
As you take the first bite of the freshest fruit that just drips down your chin
In your swimsuit and flip flops watching the pink, red, blue sunsets
Going to the last drive-in of the summer with a boy you've been seeking after all summer.
Then all comes to a pause with the crisp aired football games
and the scent of cinnamon and pumpkin in the air
with everyone wearing sweaters and all you can remember
Are those Summer Days.

I am the monster under your bed, that does not go away when ever you turn on the lights
I take your loved ones and ruin your relationships
The Alcohol lets me forget
The Cigarettes keep me calm
The *** makes me feel loved
The Drugs let me pause my life
What is the next lie that I will tell you
Who will I take next,
Is it your SISTER who keeps smoking cigarettes because she has anxiety
What about your MOM who is an alcoholic because your step-dad left again
Or YOU because all you want to do is feel loved so you have a new person every night
What about your YOUNGER SISTER that is on a new drug every week because she constantly wants to pause her Life.
I am your monster I will take everything from you
Do not cross me because I will just move on to someone else you love.
I will take everything from you because everyone has an Addiction.

Happiness is in the soft blue sunsets
In the weeping willow’s dancing in the summer breeze.
Opening a new pack of bedsheets to put on your bed
So you can feel welcomed while you sleep
Hearing the heartbeat of your lover as you lay on their chest
not wanting to move because you love them so much.
Going tubing at the lake like your a child
Stopping at a beach to feel the soft hot sand between your toes as you lay down to watch the stars shoot through the night sky.
Going to a hotel to take bubble baths,
and to sleep in beds just so you can just escape from the anxiety of the world.
Opening a new pack of crayons to smell the manufacered smell of colored wax and to see a perfect rainbow of sarpend colors.
Listing to your favorite song while you dance through the halls with your best friends by your side.
Running through a field of daisies with a new puppy that you’ve wanted since you where a child
Feeling god's presence as you walk into his house with butterflies in your stomach.
Blowing out the candles in your room watching the flame lifelessly blow away with no purpose.
Painting on blank canvas with the perfect stroke of a solid color clashing against the white canvas
Seeing the brush strokes disappear.
This is the happiness that you can only feel once in a life.
The happiness you feel before, before your a mindless robot walking in a depressing lonely world.
