“The boy with specs”
Amina Misbah Aug 2018
A deep snare,
He is an enigma that never bores me.
He is a beguiling being
A Gem
So appealing, so rare
Does he even know how he looks?
In that light blue shirt tucked out
And those denim jeans
With his tousled hair
And his specs on
It’s hard to describe him
He is a fusion
Sweet, sassy, smart, striking, special
There can never be enough words
And I can’t help but praise.
He is fond of anomalies
But does he even know that he is one himself?
With a heart of gold
And a soul laden with beauty
He is the most precious,
Utterly unique
Someone who deserves unceasing felicity.
And I hope this poem makes him blush a little
Because I swear
He is the most handsome boy I’ve ever seen,
The boy with specs

In a room suffused with the smell of *******
He lays in a euphoria
Ruffled hair
Plump Lips
Drowsy eyes
Tipsy gait
He is an epitome of charm
But as the ecstasy fades away
He needs something else to numb the pain
Exasperation hits him back
Ferocity is what prevails
As he finds
His beer bottle empty again

“Dandelion”
Amina Misbah Jul 2018
A heart is like a dandelion.
Chaste, fragile and pure
Growing in turmoil
Blooming with desire and staying put
For longings obscure
But when the agony pours in too deep
And rushing winds become harder to withstand
It decides to abandon the storm
For seeking silence in the midst of the roar.
Little pieces, gentle soul
It flows away.
The storm turns into a gentle breeze
And it lands in another valley
With a hope to taste
Another barren love
