A Quiet Promise
Inga Dec 2024
You’ve carried the weight of hearts that have gone cold,
And you’ve learned that not all love is gold.
But in this moment, just let me say:
I’m not here to take, I’m here to stay.
Because I’ll be the silence between the noise,
The calm you seek, the space you enjoy.
No games, no lies, no need to prove,
Just a love that waits and a love that moves.

You deserve a love that’s simple and kind,
Not one that you’re forced to search or find.
I know the scars that line your skin,
But with every touch, we’ll let love in.
No more fighting for what you’ve earned,
No more waiting, no more turned.
Just a love that stands, that doesn’t flee,
A love that says, “Come, sit next to me.”

The world may make you question, make you doubt,
But I’m here, patiently waiting it out.
Not to rush, not to force, not to make you see,
But to show you a love that’s as real as can be.
So here’s my promise, just for you...
A love that’s whole and a love that’s true.
Taking it slow, if that’s what you need,
But know I’m here, beyond the greed.

I see the weight you carry, the trust you've yet to give,
How love should be a refuge, not a place to hide or to forgive.
But loyalty, real loyalty, isn't just a word to say...
It’s the quiet promise that never fades, even when words fall away.

I’m not asking you to believe in empty dreams or fleeting rizz charms,
But to trust in something deeper, in the pull of my unseen arms.
I’ll be the one who stands, not in front or behind,
But beside you, where loyalty and love combine.

Because when you’re ready, when you can trust,
We’ll build something that doesn’t rust.
I’m not perfect, nor do i claim, but I’ll try,
To make you feel safe, to make you fly.
So let the past just slip away,
And let’s make today the first of many days.

Done Hoping.
Inga Oct 2024
They say I’ll find better, that someone’s out there,
but all I see is empty space, and I don’t care.
I’m numb, shattered, holding dust, and not dreams...
can’t keep hoping for love that’ll rip at the seams.

People tell me, “you’ll find the one,” or “someday, wait,”
As if that’ll fix the ache or rewrite my fate.
I don’t need the words... they fall hollow and light,
I just want to escape this long, endless night.

I want to be okay alone, to steady and stand,
but my heart still longs for that gentle hand,
for someone who calls just because they’re near,
Who stays, who’s real, who silences fear.

I’ve given my best to those who’d leave,
Watched them choose others and I'm left to grieve.
Fought so hard to only look like a fool,
And yet I stayed by breaking my own rule.

Now I’m here, with no faith left to lend,
Done with the wishing for some perfect end.
Maybe I’m not meant for anyone’s hold,
But the ache remains both hard and cold.

And it’s not hope I’m after, nor some grand plan,
Just a wish to be whole, just to stand as I am.
So let the world keep spinning, I won’t chase...
I’ll face the dark and I'll find my own quiet place.

In Case You Forgot
Inga Nov 2024
You were always there, a face I couldn’t quite read,
Laughing, hiding something, but I could always felt the need.
With every moment, every reel, I could sense some pain,
A guarded soul, holding memories, trying to break free from the chain.

Your eyes spoke of stories you never told,
Fragments of a past, whispered yet controlled.
And in those fleeting seconds when silence filled the space,
I’d catch a glimpse of something deep, something hard to chase.

The way you carried yourself, like a puzzle only half-complete,
Walking paths with purpose with no desire to ever retreat.
But even in those moments, in the laughs and the games,
You were more than I could put into words, beyond any names.
A quiet storm, calm but strong, never needing to explain,
Holding everything inside, leaving no room for pain.

Even now, I see the layers, though I might never reach
The parts you hold tight, words you’ll never preach.
Yet somehow, I get it, the unsaid feels clear,
In those shadows, you carry stories no one else could hear.

And maybe that’s love, or maybe it’s more...
To honor the silence, the battles you bore.
Knowing there’s beauty even in things unspoken,
And finding strength in the pieces left unbroken.

And now, I look back, watching the years unwind,
Grateful just to know you, even if not fully defined.
If this poem’s our tale, let it unfold with no end...
For a girl who’s more than moments and more than just a friend.
