I've been there,
yeah once or twice or so.
I've been down that sorry ol' lane,
I've been there and back again.

Let me tell you what it's like,
to try to keep your skill sets sharp,
it's like trying with tooth picks and rubber bands,
trying to make a fine tuned harp!

Don't know what I'm talkin' 'bout?
Well frankly,
neither do I,
but let me tell you somethin'
it still ain't worth battin' an eye.

It's a simple little conundrum,
like spillin' good milk,
you made a mess and now,
you have to clean it all up yourself.

Learn from your mistakes,
because you waste time just to repeat it,
don't ever give up,
not since you've gotten this far,
because one you give up,
that's when you're truly defeated.

So carry on,
march through the valley of death,
for you shall fear no evil,
and you shall remain victorious,
even on your dying breath.

There and back again,
been there and done that for sure,
So I'll just shoot a quick little prayer, amen?
Cause going back is sickening,
I'm going to need a cure.

Save a soul
every once and while,
save a soul,
every couple of miles.

There's a poor lost soul out there,
millions to choose,
why not take the time to save one now,
what do you have to loose?

You are more than the suit you where,
the sweat upon your brow,
Save a soul I ask of you,
any way that you know how!

Talk to a child,
because that's all we humans really are,
no matter the age or gender,
you don't have to look very far.

There's a child out there,
who needs some words of comfort near,
there's a child that needs a parent,
to finally call them "Dear."

There's someone that needs saving,
in some little way,
so why not do something good,
and try to save a soul today?

They don't have to be poor,
or *****, ragged, and beaten,
it could just be your co-worker,
or the secretary that hasn't eaten.

Start a little at a time,
don't rush and scare them away,
because remember now my friend,
that you're trying to help, so stay.

A few kind words a day,
to start to plant the seed,
then work yourself into their life,
to find out what they need.

Do what you can,
while you're still around,
because it's worth to see a face light up,
just hearing a pleasant sound.

A few words,
is all it takes,
to let someone enjoy life,
and cut them a little break.

So save a soul today,
there's someone that needs those words to hear,
there's some one out there today,
that'll hold your word near.

Go on, get out there,
please do not delay,
you'll know when it come to it,
even if you don't know what to say.

Here's a story
I'm writing just for you,
here's a story,
of a boy and girl too.

The boy here was a happy little fellow,
and the girl down the road there,
was rather...quite mellow.
But that really didn't matter,
when they were together,
because they were friends,
and friends made their days,
better!

So these two friends,
grew up you see,
to be the best of friends,
that friends could ever be.

Admittedly, no friendship
is without their ups and downs,
but when you put them together,
they were nothing more than
inseparable clowns.

Their friendships were tested,
by the distance apart,
but they knew it didn't matter,
when they knew each other by heart.

No, no distance could come,
in between the two,
and there wasn't a thing,
either of them would do.

So long as they had each other,
then their friendship would last,
soon they would become lovers,
the childish days, gone to past.

And soon it became that the children were no more,
and one Marine went sailing,
the other to wait by the door.

They were new,
newly wedded and in love,
one sat at the ready one night,
the other wearing a gardner's glove.

Neither of them could get the other off their minds,
neither of them got past,
the past they tried to leave behind.
This made it all the worth while,
all worth fighting for,
for the Marine to come home,
to the wife that stood by the door.

So I'm happy to say, that this story is true,
and I hope that you'll find someone,
that'll make you happy too.

Because my girl is amazing,
she's simply the best,
she's tender to the touch,
she's better than the rest.

There you are,
a story for you,
I hope you find some one out there,
I really hope for one day,
I DO.

To a child
I am an adult
I'm someone they should trust,
I'm someone they can come to,
especially when they must.

I have to be vigilant,
and always be of good cheer,
because I can never know,
when I need to lend my ear.

To a child,
I'm a super hero,
I'm the monster of the city,
I'm whom ever they need me to be,
even when they're being silly.

I'm someone they look up to,
when they're feeling down,
I've got to be ready,
to play the happy clown.

To a child
I'm the words,
that they need to hear most,
to chase away the monsters,
and to catch up all the ghosts.

Their past may come to haunt them,
their mistakes have got them crying,
but yet afraid to make a sound.
Well I hope that I'll be there,
for even just that moment,
I'll put away their fears and worries,
as soon as I come around.

Because to a child I am much more,
than just another face,
I'm an adult,
who troubles their troubles, and then I give chase.

So to the child,
of any age at all,
I must be ready,
to catch them
when they fall.

From 1 to a 100,
man or lady both,
they tell me their little secrets,
and I ask,
"Wanna go catch some goths?"

In my dreams
it's there that I'll find you,
in my dreams
when I close my eyes,
if only for a moment, then that's what I'll do.

Away you are, so far from me,
I miss your smile, your face,
the faces that you make,
just to keep kids happy.

I miss you now,
as I have as always,
you're so far from me,
so I count down the days.

When I sleep here on this bed,
I think of the times we've said,
I love you.

So here I lie,
dreaming of you,
but I weep because I know,
that dreams will never do.

That dreams will never compare,
the smell of your hair.
How the dazzling lights from the stars in the skies,
can not match the sparkle I see, when I see your eyes.

So here alone, with only the Dog by my side,
I'll wait for you here,
until you return home,
our house to abide.

So I sleep tonight,
tonight in my dreams,
in my dreams to find
you.
One more month and she'll be back!

How long must I wait,
to see your dimples once more?
I much longer shall I wait,
to see you dance again,
again straight through that door,
and back into my arms?

I look outside and the world's turn to grey,
I see the laughing children outside
outside where they play,
but I can not hear them as clearly,
as I once did when you were here,
I see the swings, where we used to be,
so empty and alone,
as am I, without you my dear.

Aye, you're only gone for yet a little while,
and now it's just me and the dog,
our short little walks together,
have gone on the mile,
looking for you.
Aye, it's quite the change in our little town,
you are my sunshine, the teacher and my lover,
to this sad little clown.

I'm like a king on a hill,
looking all around,
and seeing everything at a standstill.
Just a sad little king, on a sad little hill,
my heart so alone and empty,
waiting for your smile and tender touch,
that only you, my sun, can fill.

The roses they grow,
the violets they spring,
and the bees and birds, they all fly on their little wings,
but here I am, without you now,
but only for a little while,
only a few more days yet,
until you return to me,
to my arms,
and together we'll ride,
forever into, the blessed sunset.

Under the moon we'll gaze,
at the twinkling stars,
and below us we'll see
all the speeding cars,
and laugh
as the busy people hurry about their lives,
worried about their money,
while we still enjoy our own little jives.

How long, my dear, my love,
must I wait for you to return?
Don't you know, that it's you
as it always has been,
that my heart does yearn?

My love...
She's at some kids camp and I'm stuck working at home. Bah! xD

I'm glad I did
what I did back then,
doing what I did
way back when.

I didn't know you,
not even your name,
but you were so different
from the others
thank God up above,
you weren't the same.

You weren't just cute,
you were adorable to me,
you had the smarts too,
and the smile so bright,
it was kinda hard to see.
Straight.

I loved you back then,
like I love you now,
and I'll fight for your love,
every way I know how.

Oh how I'm glad I did,
oh don't you know?
I'm glad we met when we were kids,
with a simple hello.

Glad i did, and I'm glad I do,
now that I
just have you!
