When the Stars Did Tumble
When the stars did tumble
And the moon it failed to rise
Ever I will remember
The sadness in your eyes

I knew not how I hurt you
What foible lay exposed
I knew no resurrection
Lay in a poet’s prose

Emotions like a river
Its water flows untamed
Wash over every feeling
Till nothingness remained

Reflecting in the darkness
As angers shadow fell
Embers cooled and darkened
Till my rage, it did dispel

I lay here in the darkness
Looking to the skies
Ever I will remember
The sadness in your eyes
Across the miles and through the years
Broken hearts and blinding tears
We moved ahead and bore the weight
And paid the price of star crossed fate

The love we found was bitter sweet
Passion tainted with deceit
We walked in the darkness of our fears
Across the miles and through the years

Our souls in shadows, they lay hidden
Smiles were few, our desires forbidden
We gave and gave and little was left
Our hearts still beat but with passion bereft

Then one day I found your words
That kindled a fire long obscured
Of young love and passion tender
Lost between May and September

Wanting to believe, yet we hesitate
For fear our lives will complicate
I kiss your lips and caress your breast
In hope to put your fears to rest

I long to feel your passion’s heat
To caress your body as our lips meet
To prove young love yet perseveres
Across the miles and through the years
