Burning Bridges
Tychicus Paulk Dec 2014
like many drugs, I've been abused, I've been broken, down and used, strong as a castle wall, until you came to watch me fall, haunted by our mistakes, every wrong move we make, just strike a match, let bridges burn, and walk away from lessons learned,

Beginning ends
Tychicus Paulk Nov 2014
Reality is fabricated, life is what we make it, all mortal men will reach their end that pleasure can't be taken, with opened eyes nolonger blind my soul shall now awaken, like rising tides from moonlit nights I know you're bound to hurt me, All shadows hide in morning light the night again deserts me.

Finding myself without you
Tychicus Paulk Nov 2014
I'm not perfect truth be told, like the bond that lovers hold, and even though I'm not alone, lonesomeness I've come to know, I find myself longing for, something else something more, momentarily in need, of a quiet place to be, where all those pretty flowers grow, I will decide to let you go, in the midst of mix emotions, I find  myself beneath the ocean, sunken like my heart again, regretting every word I said, what we had was worth it all, every single trip and fall, I hope one day you'll understand, I gave it everything I had, then flawlessly forgot to care, about the past in which I stare,

Words Unheard
Tychicus Paulk Nov 2014
Hello,
You may know me by name, Absent from sight while my demons I tamed,
Unsure I sit silent thinking why am I here, Surrounded by violence suffocated by fear, Alone with my thoughts making no friends, I'm surpassing mountains and tying loose ends, A bitter tongue whispers that's what you get, battling feelings i can't forget, I wish I could be there whenever you call, To pick you back up if ever you fall, My words but a whisper I don't expect you to hear, Even if you did I doubt you would care.

Opened eyes

Opened eyes of optimism, that gaze into tomorrow, closing only to take their rest, and leave their past of sorrow.

Faces of the deep
Tychicus Paulk Nov 2014
He cuts you to the bone, but he don't cut you deep, haunted by her shadow, you say you'll never weep, the bitter taste of silence, you spit from your mouth, silent screams, again are ringing out, your photo is on fire, flooded when you cry, you keep reaching higher, but you can't touch the sky, wake up and smell the coffee, wake up and smell the mold, run to another, another hand to hold, the last love you had, gave you all that you lost, now he is the devil, and he will pay the cost, darkness was upon, the faces of the deep, tears are falling now, you claimed you'd never weep, happily ever after, your story never told, a beautiful disaster, afraid of getting old.
