Us
All I see is her,
To me there is no her and I,
She says she doesn't see that either,
She says she sees us,
I ponder on it,
"I guess so" I smile,
Our hands weave together,
We walk,
I pull out a box out of my pocket,
I look at her,
"Wait"
We stop "I wanted to give this to you"
I pull out the box and open it,
"O my God!"
The sun is just setting,
Leaving hues of pinks, purples and oranges,
I pull out the necklace out of the box,
It's gold,
With white detailing along it,
"May I do the honours?"
I walk around her and undo the lock,
She opens the locket,
It's her and I,
In black is printed,
Us.

I lean against the tree looking at her while I strum my guitar lazily,
She sings while avoiding eye contact,
"You're beautiful"
She snorts out a laugh,
"You're still beautiful"
Her eyes twinkle as they let a glance pass,
I continue to strum my guitar,
She lays in the grass looking at the stars,
I see the universe through her eyes,
The night is quite except for the guitar and the wind,
I shake my head and I think how I'm so lucky to have her,
This old broken man with a perfect girl like her,
I love her and I lye beside her,
Seeing her in the universe.

We go to the mall,
She has me try on a bra,
She asks me what cup size I am,
"10 I guess, that's my shoe size"
We laugh and the store clerk looks bewildered,
We leave empty handed but our minds filled with memories,
We feed each other sushi,
Seeing who can handle the most wasabi sauce on one sushi roll,
We laugh as we chug green tea,
The store owners look mortified,
But are pleased by the huge tip,
I lead her to a shoe store where we find the best fitting shoe of the opposition gender,
She laughs as I try to walk in stilettos,
She just wears sneakers,
I break them,
We pay the owner and don't keep them,
I had fun today,
I think she did too her eyes tell me all.

I sit here lost in my own thoughts about the future in the most depressing way,
She asks me if I'm okay,
"I don't know"
I continue spiralling into my depressed dream,
I lye on the bed lost,
She lyes beside me,
I turn my head to look at her my eyes glazed in thought,
Thinking about her dying in my own hands,
She blows air on my face and I snap out of my thoughts,
She begins to laugh and I laugh with her admiring her powers.

How can I begin to describe her,
The way she smiles is stupidly infectious,
Which always follows with her laugh,
That is intoxicating,
Her hair smells like lilies in the spring right after the morning dew,
Her attitude is of a doe,
She is shy but is curious about everything,
She is easygoing but can't sit still for long,
She likes cars especially Bentley's,
Her style is always different,
She never changes but I feel I am always meeting someone new that's still her,
When I tell her one of my stupid jokes she always laughs,
I think it's because she feels sorry for me,
But I don't care as long as I see her laugh and her eyes sparkle.

Her
As the world spins around me,
You float towards me and you hold my hand,
I pause as my world comes to a halt and I turn to look at you,
Our worlds stand still as the rest spin on,
I stare into your eyes and I see the universe floating with endless wonder,
We dance slowly as the world spins,
You lay your head on my shoulder as we dance,
I smell your hair and tell you that your beautiful,
She just mumbles something unimpressed,
I love her and she I,
We dance what I hope will be eternity,

Isn't stupid how we walk around like we deserve everything,
We deserve to have food,
We deserve to be rich,
But do we deserve to starve,
Do we deserve to be poor,
Do we deserve to have addictions,
Do we deserve to have racial minority,
Do we deserve to have war,
Do we deserve to become sick,
Do we deserve to be "damaged"
Do we deserve to die,
Do we deserve to live while others die,
Do we deserve everything?
Do we really want to deserve everything.
