I haven't been able to write for quite some time.
Not much excites this mind of mine.
But I'm high and excited to type out some lies.

Ah, why try?
Just smile and hide.

     Bye.

The day brightens and attention is focused.
There's only one light on your horizon, the only one worth notice.
You can only wait and hope you see her sooner than late.
The sun hits her face and highlights the perfect place, couldn't look away even if her eyes feel the visual embrace.
Her eyes shift, rather swift but in their midst your thoughts still twist.
She gives a flirty smile and your heart beats as if you've run a mile.
The approach is calculated, chest up, head straight.

You say hello, but her words seem to flow, captivating and dangerous, it was a low blow.
But you continue to play the game, one of playful back and fourths.
Complimenting everything, even her name, such a shame that its always the same, lose due to the over thinking blues.
It ends well, but what compels one to dwell on the in-between carousel?

Time passes, and circumstances have changed, life continues to advance through the sunshine or rain.
The relationship goes sour.
Desperately looking to get away, you cower and stray.
Silencing the soul but exercising the mind.
Wishing to rewind time in hopes to jump back on that thin line.

People want to know the answers, but dont want to look in.
They see themselves as cancer and filled with sin.
Sleep all night and dread the day, lay in bed opening the gateway.
They forget themselves and look away, only to stray in a dream foreplay.
The questions still remain but the pain is now chained.
The pillow holds the brain, once again.
But the alarm goes off and its time to start the day.
Only to say,  "today is grey, why am I headed this way?"

Anyways,

Mentally lifting this dark blanket on top.
Going to start working at this non stop.
Only thing troubling me is my anger.
But Im grinding away at this like a sander.
Trying too hard to rhyme.
One day Ill get there,

   In due time.

Equity
The Star Room Dec 2014
Did I just rap?
That one line ruined the equity of my previous poem.
I know equity is not the correct word, but it is, is it not?

Ginger
The Star Room Dec 2014
Tuesday night, just like every other night, a perfect night to vape.
Realizing, going against the grain is how society progresses.
All these changes leading way to these successes.
Making the past complain, questioning the new.
This **** is providing a new view, brain is set on brew, one you cant subdue.
These gingerbread cookies are ******* fantastic.

Did I just rap?

What is a poem?
The Star Room Dec 2014
How do I do poetry?
Make it sound all pretty and witty
Poetry isn't even my thing
Being charismatic and dapper with your words definitely is important, hell, look at Martin Luther King
These rhymes are pathetic
Reading this is sure to make many frenetic
In case you did not know that means agitated
I may as well give up, this rhyme was not calibrated
I am simply just rambling, using this as an escape I guess
I'm a mess, but I'm trying to progress and impress, not you but me
So ill float like a butterfly and sting like a bee
Man I just stole that from Muhammad Ali
Ill be back, this ******.
