P 'cause they're Predictable,
each day gives birth to some,

R 'cause they're Reminders,
to never turn and run, for

O has Opportunities,
to conquer each attack,

B has all the Blessings,
to fill in every crack,

L is for the Lessons,
each problem tends to teach, and

E because they're Everywhere,
like sand upon a beach,

M is for the Messages,
that bring a just reward, and

S means all are Solvable,
when Jesus Christ is Lord!
Inspired by the acrostic PROBLEMS from the book 'The Winning Attitude" authored by Dr. John Maxwell

used by permission

1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your cares on Jesus, because he cares for you.

PROBLEMS was shared by DJ Susan Cruz with the listeners of Detroit Radio Station WMUZ 103.5 FM in 1994.

I was also a guest with Susan Cruz on her program in 1995 via a live broadcast from the Detroit Auto Show at Cobo Hall where I recited PROBLEMS to the WMUZ listeners.

I finally got it figured out, it all comes down to this,
The biggest foe we'll ever know, is our own selfishness,

  So yellow, red, black or white, I have found a way,
To conquer me first attitudes, before the judgment day.

I found someone who always gives, unselfish pure and true ,
He walks by faith and not by sight, like we're supposed to do,

He conquered me first attitudes, passing every test
And said that we could do the same, through His unselfishness.

So let me introduce you to, the TRUTH, the LIFE, the WAY,
JESUS CHRIST, God's only Son, let's follow Him today.
Luke 9:23

“If any of you wants to be my follower, you must put aside your selfish ambition, shoulder your cross daily, and follow me."

Did you ever wonder, when you go to bed,
If the prayer that you're prayin', is worth bein' said.

Well I use to wonder, so I gave God a test.
I prayed for a million, as I laid to rest.

Then all through the night, as I laid sound asleep,
I knew God was workin', to prove He's not cheap.

A sweepstakes, a lotto, an estate in my name,
The list could be endless with fortune and fame.

I'll give to the homeless, I'll give to the poor,
I'll give to the Churches and charities galore.

For if there is a God, who could pass such a test,
I'll know I'm not lucky, just prayerfully blessed.

Then all of a sudden, the sun hit my eyes.
A new day had found me and before I could rise.

A voice in the distance, shook the bed where I lay;
"Your prayer is answered, you get ONE MORE DAY!"
Psalms 118:24

This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

I'm thankful for God's Spirit,

I'm thankful for God's Son,

I'm thankful for my friends and foes,

The hope when there is none;

I'm thankful for my family,

The highs and lows we share,

But most of all, in good or bad,

I'm thankful God is there.

Caught up in this fast paced world,
Going here and there.
I still find time to think of you
And mention you in prayer.

For God will know just how you are,
While I won't have a clue.
And since He's just a prayer away,
Don't let Him miss you too!

God is black, God is blue,
Always great and always true ,
Creator of both me and you;
“LOVE IS ALL THAT MATTERS”

So take your neighbor by the hand
And show you're under God’s command,
That's we need to understand;
“LOVE IS ALL THAT MATTERS”

Don’t try and make it black or white,
Yellow, red, dark or light,
We know two wrongs don’t make a right;
“LOVE IS ALL THAT MATTERS”

Then everywhere you choose to go,
Your heart can have a Godly glow
And all the world will come to know;
“LOVE IS ALL THAT MATTERS”
1 John 4:8
He that loveth not, knoweth not God; for God is love.

Like every boy I've played some sports

And oh how I had fun.

Competition got me high;

Even higher when I won!

And like every boy I had my dreams,

But I never realized,

Fatherhood would come along

And be my biggest prize.

So when I got it figured out,

Everything I had.

Was nothing more than second best,

No toppin' bein' dad.

Now all the thrills of victory,

Will never match the joy.

Of knowing I can be a dad,

Just like every boy.
