Memory
Holly D Aug 2014
For thought and rememberence you remain
Your heart had suffered all that pain
I no longer know what to do
With the memory of you

Burn it, cut it into pieces
Unfortunately your striking features
Are still there even though your gone
Your memory is still shining strong
I legitimately don't remember writing this, I just found it in a pile of old things and I thought it was nice.

Underrated
Holly D Aug 2014
You might as well
Wear a tag
Saying
"Hi, I'm underrated"
Cool, calm and collected
You wish
Block out the pain
And stay smiley
To look just perfect
Goodbye everyone

Hidden
Holly D Aug 2014
A painted mask
Resides ahead
Upon her face
Until she's dead

No one but her
Can see right through
The painted mask
To what is true

They talk so I'll
Of beauty fair
And none to know
A gen so rare

I missed the way
It used to be
I wish that you
Would let me see

Put down the mask
And let me meet
The girl who is
So fair, so sweet

I'll find that girl
That girl I've known
I'll find her
And bring her home

Liar
Holly D Aug 2014
I cannot believe
Your hurried lies
Shrouded jealousy
I've lost the little hope
I had left on your innocence

Your expression is haunting
Pained smiles too open
To want to stay hidden
Your goal to stay calm
Is often unknown

You desperately want
To yell with all your might
But the one word
On your lips is
Liar, liar

Calling
Holly D Aug 2014
distant forms of poetic truth are
losing the
battle for my attention in
all forms of interesting
conversation within
my mind I wonder if
it's actually worth it

Falling
Holly D Aug 2014
I wanted a fairytale ending
I jumped from high expectations
I was not wandering and learning
I was in solitary confinement
I recognised that you didn't know
I saw rivers in raindrops
I lived in a bubble of nothing
I lost an element of me
I didn't know you liked this
I was nothing in a sea of anything
Definitely, I was gone

Broken Words
Holly D Aug 2014
I am stuck
Bright lights illuminate
Painful memories
Splotchy emotions
Trailing along
Branching out
And a broken heart

Untitled
Holly D Aug 2014
Who could brandish thoughts like a craving of meaning?
What could run through your mind to not let you watch with glee?
Where could they hide if you couldn't find them?
When will you agree and stop fighting yourself?
Why not just do it for you?
How could you forget?

Insanity
Holly D Aug 2014
Who could drape themselves in red without a cause?
What could push you that far?
Where can you hide but in your own mind?
When will the pain subside?
Why would you do that?
And how could you leave us?

Final Vow
Holly D Aug 2014
My words are nothing
Hollow, empty
Without something to lean back on
My words are broken
Cracking, shattered
When they are left alone
Dry and dusty
Spurts of constantants
Silence is a comfort
Dizzy and falling
Heavy blocks of vowels
A last, a final vow
I won't leave

The Sister
Holly D Aug 2014
How long did it take to paint the mask
To hide away those years of pain
It must have been a horrible task
While staring at the falling rain

The shouting loud and all the lies
You a brave soldier, hiding this
Watching as inside she dies
The sister now you only miss

I wish that I had been right there
To comfort as you silently scream
But now you know I'll always be here
If you need someone on who you'll lean

I'm sorry if it makes you upset
To think about the way it was
The thought of that awful threat
But I know you can because

I will always be your friend
And you know you can count on me
A long way past the very end
And I promise that if you need me
Here is where I'll always be

Wrong
Holly D Aug 2014
Nothing matters
I've given up hurting
I've given it all up
I get nothing in return
Just acceptance
That I'm wrong
In every
Single
Sense
Of the word
I'm wrong
No corrections
I'm starting to think I've done things
And I haven't
When will this finally get me
Soon
My dreams will come
And they will take the day
Often
When I can't see what's right in front of me
Because I know what isn't
And that matters

Rhyme

Caught in a bubble
Life is a struggle
Catching up with time
Too many feelings
Sends yourself reeling
With nothing left but rhyme

Disassociation
Holly D Aug 2014
Have you ever felt like you aren't really there?
Like you are just watching your life unfold,
From your own little bubble far away?
Have you ever felt like there is more to life,
Than what's going on?
Like you are meant to figure out how,
Everything works,
How life is?
Have you ever thought that there is,
Someone there watching you unfold?
That they are moulding you into,
What you should be?
Have you ever felt like you truly are alone?
That no one else exists on your level,
And you aren't ready to see?
Have you ever thought that there is something else?
Something beyond now,
Waiting til you succeed?
Have you ever felt like nothing really matters?
Like it's all a practice,
For something more intricate?
Have you ever felt like everything you do,
Is being judged?
That everything needs to be you,
Or it's not worth the time?
Have you ever felt like you are crazy?
That you look too deep,
For answers that aren't there?
Have you ever thought that you know,
More than you should?
That you could die for this?
Because you could.

Wings
Holly D Aug 2014
Taught to fall
But learnt to fly
Taught to cry
But learnt to smile
New and fresh
Always there
But nothing more
Can hurt her.

Me
Holly D Aug 2014
Me
I just want to talk to myself
Because I understand
I will judge
And argue
But no one's there to mind.

Mirror
Holly D Aug 2014
Arguing
You always think you're right
But this time you're torn
You always win
So what happens when
The person your arguing with
Is just the mirror?
The girl you can see
In the reflective glass
Is no longer you
And you wish
That you can get back
To the way you used to love
That same girl
The one in the mirror
Where is she now?

My Sunshine
Holly D Aug 2014
To speak one's mind,
Is hard enough,
Without the added worry,
That your thoughts,
Would be ignored,
Or fly off in a hurry.
That you'd become,
Insignificant,
Or unnoticed but for me,
You'll always
Be the sunshine
That makes my thoughts fly free.

Red
Holly D Aug 2014
Red
You pool underneath my skin
An intense heat that spreads
From my fingertips
To a smile that was misplaced the day I lost this
This thing I imagined
The way you laugh is infectious
Even when we don't know why we're laughing
The smile of a girl without worries
But the look of a girl who can lose herself in thought
Tracing a empty promise
A way of getting that attention again
Back to me
As far as I'm concerned you could be bothered
Though I know you don't know how it feels
To admire so much
And only be ignored
It doesn't matter
You have better things to do
I understand.

Arabella
Holly D Aug 2014
I've realised how difficult it is to see when you're not there
When you don't shine with a smile that blows people away
When they yell and scream so loud I can't stay with them
When all I want to do is slip away
And fix myself

I've realised how difficult it is to smile when you're not there
When you can't laugh at stupid things that aren't funny
When they giggle amongst themselves about boys I don't know
When all I want to do is sleep
And forget myself

I've realised how difficult it is to breathe when you're not there
When you can't block out the people with your marginally carefree attitude
When they poke and **** my consciousness without even realising
When all I want to do is jump
And lose myself
Finally

Where I Am
Holly D Aug 2014
If you see this girl could you tell her where I am?
How I'm further than any country or continent
Further than any airplane could take me
Further than any spaceship could go
Further than any planet or any galaxy or any universe
And still sitting right next to her
Could you tell her?
Because I can't.
