As the lone tree stands
Flame princess Feb 2014
As the lone tree stands
In the dead of winter,
With it's long arms splayed to touch the setting sun,
It watches curious ravens fly away
And snow settle on the ground,

The tree wondered why he was placed here,
In this ugly, barren world,
He wondered why the snow wasn't touching his branches,
And why there was a swing tied to on of his arms,
That he could not feel but see it blowing uselessly in the wind,

As the lone tree stands,
Wishing for the ravens to come back,
He just stands there with scars from the swing slowly engraving itself in him,
Wondering if the mysterious birds would care if the great storm would push him over and the roots of all he's known get ripped out from the soil, he was born,

As the lone tree stands,
Pleading the wind to finish him,
So he could leave this hell,
And live the afterlife,
He didn't care no more about life, knowledge, the future,

He got his wish.

As the lone tree's soul floated above his blood stricken body,
Waiting for where he should go next,
He noticed things,
There were houses, kids, dogs and lots of other trees surrounding him,

And as the lone tree watches the children and parents gather to the fallen tree,
They weep for the loss of this great one,
Who once stood but fell by a gust of wind.
I made this poem in reflection of myself. In the past present and maybe future, how things just engrave in you but you can't feel them, but so many other things hurt too. It's pretty self explanatory.

Freedom
Flame princess Feb 2014
Why must my heart sink so low?
I woke with my heart at my feet
Weighing down my every step

I got dressed in my sweater and jeans
Climbed down the low hanging window
And onto the grass
Damp with the morning dew I could feel on my bare feet

I sprinted into the forest,
Covered myself in the trees
Let the pine scented air fill my lungs

I never wanted to go back to the place I have to call home
Never.
I felt free again away from my mind away from the darkness

I smiled as my heart lifted of the floor
I felt re-born

Is this how happy people feel?

I wanderd through the undergrowth for a while
The beautiful setting sun was shone through the threes
Letting my heart fill with freedom I will not have for a while when I go back to the place where I 'belong'

Back where?
where the voices penetrate the walls of my mind
Where I'm supposed to feel safe
Where nothing's supposed to bother me.

This wouldn't be a problem if I'd  have died long ago
But sadly here I am
Why am I here?
I shouldn't be here.
I'm a demon, I belong with fear and darkness

Forget this I'm going home.

The man who killed me
Flame princess Feb 2014
I have never felt like ******
With the wind screaming in my ears
He tells me to
He wants me to
He wants me to slit the mans throat
The man who killed me

The voice can not be heard
By none other but me
He screams insanity in my ears
Yelling for me to bleed

To Bleed out the revenge
Hatred
Love
Hope

But all that does not matter
Not anymore
I'm a nothing
Drifting soundlessly down this street

For I am the demon of myself
I am the man who killed me

— The End —
