I don't belong here,
I know that I'm not pretty,
I know that I don't fit in because I'm not pretty,
I know,
You don't need to tell me.

I don't belong here,
I know I don't fit in with society's standards,
I know I don't fit in because I don't stick to society's standards,
I know,
You don't need to tell me.

I don't belong here,
I know people stare at me,
I know I don't fit in because people stare at me,
I know,
You don't need to tell me.

I don't belong,
And I know this,
So please don't tell me.

They say two people don't meet by mere coincidence.
What they don't say is that person could change your life.
They probably didn't mean for those two to meet online.
So far apart yet right at the end of your fingertips.
They say no distance is too far.
But I'd say over 1000 miles is too far.
Only 2 hours 31 minutes on a plane.
So far apart yet so little time.
I told you my favourite quote once. I told you because it was worthless information.
I never realised that it would apply to me.
I never realised it was what I wanted to say to you.
I never said it before now because I was so nervous.
I guess in a poem it's different.
I'm in love with you. And I know that love is just a shout out into the void, and that oblivion is inevitable and that we're all doomed, and that there will come a day when all our labour has been returned to dust, and I know the sun will swallow the only earth we'll ever have and I am in love with you.
So far apart.
The quote is from 'The fault in our stars' by John Green.

Here's to the little girls asking "When will I be good enough?"
Here's to the girls that are "fat", to the girls who staever themselves for the "perfect body."
Because society has clouded are judgement on what prettiness is.
You don't need to be skinny to be pretty.
You don't need to be told when you're good enough.
There is no such thing as the "perfect body" because everyone is imperfect.
You need to know that what society tells you is not the truth.
The photos in magazines are taken by professionals and no selfie will compare to that.
Flaws are beautiful.
A day without make up is amazing.
You need to know that every one is imperfections definition.
In life there are two types of people.
Wolves and sheep.
Join the wolves because they deny society the right to tell them what is beautiful and what's ugly.
Society does cruel things to the mind, don't be fooled.
My words are my words and I write them for a reason. You're imperfect yet beautiful. Remember hat. You don't need to believe it. Just remember it.

The familiar face
Rough hands wrapping around me
Giving an unfamiliar embrace
Oh won't you just let me be?
I don't feel safe
His touch feels like my skin grating on a tree

I wear a skirt and I'm 'asking for it'
Catcalls follow me around
I'm too tongue-tied to use my wit
I feel like I'm being drowned
He tells me 'won't you just shut up and sit'
I'm wishing we'll be found

But nothing works until he lets me go
And by then I'm too scared to speak up
He'd shoved me around like kneading dough
Handled me like a worthless cup
His skin was as cold as snow
Now I'm all boarded up.

You ask me why I jumped at a slight touch
I lie and mumble at the floor
I wish you wouldn't pester me so much
Why is answering you such a chore
I whimper and lean on you like a crutch
When you hear what happened you call me a *****.
This is for my friend who gave me her experienice.  This is my first poem. Enjoy!
