I was there the day Amelia Earhart came crashing down
when the Titanic breathed it’s last
I have swallowed countless dreamers,
but none was like the day Icarus fell in all of his fear

When planes fall they make no noise
when boats sink you hear no sound
but the day Icarus fell was very different
his screams to his father still echo in my ears

I am the sea
the deaths I have seen are countless
thousands fall and are forgotten
but never will I forget Icarus

Why Icarus
Why do I still hear him now
how was he different from the rest of the dreamers
